    1. Aaron Ross

    2b. Ray McDonald
    3. Brandon Mebane

this first 2 picks are solid but the last 2 make no sense.

I don't know how in the world we could pass on Jarrett there. He would have to be the pick

Nevermind Jarrett, skipping Houston for Ross makes no sense......

I like Woodley, but he can be had with our 2nd 2nd rounder. We need to get Moses with that 1st one.....

As for the 3rd, I wouldent mind seeing someone like Steve Smith go there for us.

I look at that site and take in ALOT. Last year it was very accurate.

    QFT.

Houston is going to be the best first round CB in this draft. I think he's going to be what everyone seems to think D'Angelo Hall is.

Moses > Woodley as a pro. I really think this guys going to come in this league with a monster chip on his shoulder, and with our coaching staff he's going to be sick.

And I just started juggling the idea of Steve Smith in my mind the other day. IMO he's going to be very similar to Coles as a pro, except bigger.

Why would we go for Aaron Ross over Chris Houston in the 1st?

Lamar Woodley is a fine pick.

I don't see why we would pick 2 defensive lineman and no offensive lineman...

I couldn't agree with you guys more, I'll be pissed if we take Ross over Houston.

If this is how the board fell, I'd want

    1. Houston
    2a. Moses
    2b. Francis
    3. Mebane

    1. Houston is too good of value in Round 1
    2. Moses/Woodley and Francis/McDonald are solid, even though Beekman may be a better pick then the later duo.
    3. Not good enough depth in the third.

Same, and if it fell that way I'd be giddy like a schoolgirl. I may swap Francis out for a WR though, but I don't really know many past the potential 1st rounders....

I liked our picks NFldraftcountdown gave us
    except rnd1
but Scott Wright is wrong(so far, still a month to go)
there are some questionable picks before us
Ginn to the pack? is one
and some others that I thought dropped.... but he still has top 15

The great thing about Wright is that while it's still a mock draft and he'll get plenty of picks wrong he's usually on the ball as far as where a player will get drafted. If you look at his final mock most of the guys who he has slotted from 20-32 will probably get drafted in that area. So I tend to look at his mock as a way to figure out who will be available for the Jets. No way can predict what a team wants to do but he seems to have a good idea how long players will last.

well Ginn probably wont be 1st rnd. but like I said we are month away anything can happen
I am still shocked by the Bills picks last yr noone had that coming

Wright has been off the last 2 yrs but its a crapshoot(predicting drafts is like throwing darts)
his last 2 mock's have been awful compared to his standards(other sites have caught up on info)

but there is a month of shit talking left

Well, Jarrett projects as a better NFL prospect because Smith doesn't have much height....but than again, neither do other recievers in the NFL like the other Steve Smith. They were just a really good combo, with Jarrett being the thunder, who was not the fastest but would scare the crap outta you by being able to catch anything, and Smith being the lightning, who could bring one all the way on any given catch.

A wouldn't be against taking a flyer on Smith in the 3rd.

Because we need a slot reciever, not a number two reciever. We did just drop a pretty penny on Cotchery...
