The Mock on nfldraftcountdown.com has us taking him in round one....I think he is a decent prospect and because it's unlikely that there will be a Nick Mangold calibre player late in the first round, I will be happy if we take this guy. An excellent prospect at CB. I've seen some Mocks have him going to the Dolphins...personally I think that is too high and they have much more pressing needs. I'd have no problem with taking him in Round 1. Plus he has a little swagger about him, which would add some personality to the D. I'm really interested to see what we will do if a Top WR drops to us in Round 1. It's gonna make for a tough decision if Meachem, Jarret and Rice are available at #25. It might not be our most pressing need, but we lack depth at the WR postion (If Coles or Cotchery get hurt our passing game goes out the window) and since any of the 3 would instantly be our starting #3, it might be too enticing to pass one of them up...
He would be excellent. I would find it hard to take if we drafted a TE before someone like this. So long as either DT, DE, OLB or CB are drafted I don't see how we could go wrong,
I wouldn't HATE picking him early, but I'd rather draft big people (linemen) early and then take a player like Josh Wilson or my personal favorite AJ Wilson later. But, that said, as long as we don't take Chris houston, Jarvis Moss or Greg Olsen - or any WR, I'll be pretty pleased. Knock on wood.
I really like Revis and I hope he's around at 25. He's got #1 corner potential in the AFC East and could come in and start right away.
Moss is a little jackass prick. That kid can go to hell, he's already making enemies...doing radio interviews with his boys in the background and not even paying attention to what Gil Brandt and Pat Kirwin are saying....they cut him off because he didn't even hear their questions and was giving 1 word answers....screw that kid, no character whatsoever.
Not to mention Jarvis only made it to 16 reps in the bench press. Brady Quinn had 25 or 26 reps... No way we take this guy.
I think Revis will be good, but I also prefer Josh Wilson over Revis. If Wilson lasted till pick 59 it would be great.
Well, as far as Moss, a lot depends on his medical exam. If he checks out okay and the scouts believe he can put on mass and strength, then a lot of my fear goes away, but as of now, my fear with hiim is his one dimensionality. It seems like all he's good for is rushing the passer. Then, when he comes back with a slow 40 that becomes a problem. That wouldn't be a killer if he had the agility and quickness to play OLB and maybe do a little pass defense as well as a little pass rush, but his bad three cone drill suggests that he doesn't have that ability. So now he's a small DE with poor speed and no agility. So that scares me. On HOuston: he has all the numbers, but can't read and react, can't anticipate routes and takes more chances than someone with his skills should ahve to. To me that says that he relies on his natural abilities and does not study like he should. Then there's this quote which kind of sums it all up: "They talk about Houston holding Tennessee's Robert Meachem to only two catches, but one was good for a touchdown. Yes, he did hold USC's Dwayne Jarrett to 35 yards on five catches, but the Trojans were breaking in a new quarterback at the time. Is the real Chris Houston the one getting constantly turned around by Sidney Rice and crew in the South Carolina game (10 passes caught vs. Houston)? " Now, maybe he's just a young player that will learn he can't rely on his natural abilites or maybe he's a guy who never learns that, I don't know, but I'd prefer a guy who studies already to a guy who would have to learn to study. Finally, I have to say I haven't seen Houston and never really paid attention to Moss, plus I'm getting all my info from one source, so, you know, they could be wrong, I could be wrong, etc. But that's my opinion.
yeah if they are available u jump on one of them without thinking. thats why im not too focused on one position. but mostly I see the best value in our 1st rd pick at CB/WR cuz one of the top 20 prospects WILL fall due to others reaching.
Have you seen any film on him? Is he an athlete or Football player. Im sure Justin Miller had a decent combine too and he can't cover his shadow.
