The Giants selected Marshal Yanda for a number of reasons. First, they filled a hole at CB with Revis in the 1st round and then put in a potential starting OLB, another need, with Stewart Bradley in the second. I think this draft for the Giants is about signing young guys to replace the guys they just released, much like the Jets last year. With Pettigout no longer on the team, they need a replacement at LT. Yanda is very experienced and is versatile on the line. He plays smart and with great technique, being coached by Ferentz. I think Yanda is the perfect fit for the Giants. Not to mention he is one of the BPA.
Very nice pick penny10jet. He is definitely one of the best players left, and I know he is looked at as an NFL guard, but he did play tackle on college, so I guess he could play either. I think your draft is going very well so far. They are definitely filling some needs and getting good value.
Man I have an obsession with Ben Patrick. I took him in the Quick Mock Draft with GB and now grab him with CAR. Hes gonna be awesome man in the league.
Hey ww85, delete some messages, i tried to send you my list for the upcoming broncos pick but it wouldnt go through because you have max amount of messages, I sent them to Green Hurricane, but i wont be able tog et back online till around noon, so please wait if im up.
Hey guys I'm new to theganggreen.com but I've participated in mock drafts before and I'm very reliable. I have a boring job so I check the site frequently. If you need another person to GM a team or someone on standby, I'd be more than happy to take over. Please let me know! Thanks!
Sorry guys i havent been on alot lately. I just have alot of school work to do and whatnot. anyone who wants my teams, fins and cincy, can have them. i dont think ill be able to make my picks on time, so im giving them up.
A HUGE steal here for Dallas. Ikaika Alama-Francis was projected go mid-2nd round, so getting him here is a humongous steal in my opinion, and I am very happy he lasted here. The Cowboys don't have any big needs, and are not going to get a starter here, so with the loss of Kenyon Coleman, it would be nice for them to get another DE. Rotating Marcus Spears, Chris Canty and Alama-Francis sets up an amazing DE core for the next 5+ years. All of them will be able to stay fresh, and when any of them step on the field, they will never lose a step. Although Francis would be used as the 3rd DE this year, he could definitely take over as the starter, over Canty, next year, because he has just as much talent. He could also be used a pass-rushing DT when the move to a 4-3.
Man that was a HARD pick for me to do with the Saints. I can understand the hatred of the pick, but DT was a big need for NO and despite being undersized, McBride has some potential. He was the best fit of any player available for this Saints group IMO. I was really hoping that Craig Davis could fall to me though.
Hey guys, I see I missed another pick and I'm just not on enough anymore to be part of a fast paced draft like this... I know there's a lot of people that want spots in these drafts and one of them can take the Texans/Seahawks if they want to.
The Pats take Tim Crowder DE/OLB...a steal in very late Rd 3. Tim can rush the passer and drop into coverage, a very good value in almost Rd 4.
Very nice steal for the Patriots, I actually thought he was drafted, could have picked him over Alama-Francis for my Cowboys, maybe, probably not, but maybe. Very nice. I had to look through all the picks to make sure it was true, that he was still available.
