He measured 6'6 and 296lbs at the combine and at his pro day he ran 4.73 and 4.72.

Here's a place to read his profile....not all his numbers are the most up do date on this site.....I looked at nfl.com and draft scout and nfl draft countdown to put together the top numbers.

The only problem is that it looks like Carriker is going to be gone by pick 15

oh I think we'd all love him and I could see a scenario where, if he gets past a certain place, say, 15, we package our first and a second to move up and get him. BUT that may be just my wishful thinking.

Ellis and Coleman are our starting DE's this coming season. They didn't give Coleman a big contract just to go out and package picks to draft another DE. Nothing against Carriker, he's a great player, but he won't be a Jet.

    Our glaring needs are:
    1. RT - If we sign Clement we can wait a little, but if not we need a starter in rounds 1 or 2.
    2. NT - Unless they think Pouha and Moore can shoulder the load this is a MUST. Robertson belongs at DE in the 3-4, and simply lacks the proper technique to clog the middle at NT.
    3. OG - Moore is servicable at best, and Kendall is almost done.
    4. OLB - We're fine with what we have, but if we had another Bryan Thomas (or better) it would take alot of heat off of #5.
    5. CB - I personally think we're fine here, but if someone falls into our lap that is too good to pass up, Barrett is expendable.

I definately agree. If Robertson adds about 10 pounds, I think he'll improve greatly at Nose Tackle.

Also, cornerback should be higher on the list. We could really use and an upgrade opposite Dyson.

In the 3-4 you can never have enough quality defensive lineman. If Carriker fell to 25 I would expect the Jets wouldn't waste any time taking him.

No way Carricker falls to the Jets, unfortunately. The first thread here about Carricker was before the senior bowl, when he was projected as a late first-early second rounder. Well, forget that now.

I think the Jets are going into the season with what we have... Coleman and Ellis, DRob and Pouha at NT. I think we need a CB badly, and think that's what the Jets will draft as long as one of the top three are still there. Yes, that includes Revis, and is most likely the CB we end up with.

Barrett was playing hurt, and then Dyson had a knee.... and the CB spot was a terrible soft spot on the D in the playoff game. That's the biggest need on D, and we need to keep Barrett even if we draft Revis.

I like this mock, a lot.

They keep saying Revis is slow!! Which is why he will fall to the late 1st round scavangers.

NFL | Revis runs impressive 40-yard dash
    Fri, 16 Mar 2007 09:19:40 -0700

John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports Pittsburgh CB Darrelle Revis ran between 4.38 and 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash as part of his Pro Day workout Friday, March 16.

Now does that look slow? He will be gone before 25... He's better then Leon Hall IMHO.

I like Revis better than Hall too... I have Ross and Houston ahead of Revis.
