Sorry I have no links, but on the local radio and on local TV they've been saying it's probably going to happen today or tomorrow.

This doesn't affect us really but it would make the draft a lot more interesting.

All I know is it would be something like their starting TE, and Moss for Rogers and a 7th round pick...

I really don't know why Oakland would make this trade. They have the first overall pick and have a chance at drafting Russell, and I would much rather have him then Rogers. Plus then who is going to succeed Favre then?

I guess they would rather have Aaron Rodgers/Calvin Johnson than JaMarcus Russell/Randy Moss.

1)His name is Aaron Rodgers, not Rogers.

2)It's going to cost Green Bay more than that, Sally.

Bad trade for the Raiders. If the Packers felt at all that Rodgers was a franchise qb don't you think they'd label him as an untouchable? It seems to me they drafted him because every1 expected them too when he had his free fall, and have never really been in love with him. As for Favre's successor I wouldn't be suprised to see them make a huge run for Shaub if Atlanta franchises him or lets him hit UFA.

Im thinking because the Raiders have a new coach and the new coach wants to make an impact by not taking any bullshit. Keep in mind the raiders coach tried to reach out to Randy Moss a couple of times and Moss blew him off. If Moss doesnt want to be there and theres a chance he can turn into a big cancer on a new young team, move him then. Its not so much the trade value as it is getting something for a guy you need to get rid of.

I think this is exactly it. This is a good trade for both teams IMO. The raiders get two young promising players in CJ and Rodgers (ok maybe not so much rodgers), and the packers get an explosive veteran that could help them make one last run at a championship with Favre. The only question mark that others have already pointed out is what do the packers have after Favre leaves for a QB? Maybe they're targeting Carr - lol.

Randy Moss is not going to help the Raiders in any way. The senile move was making the deal for him in the first place. He's just a horrible guy to have on roster, talent or no talent. The Packers are basically selling their soul to give Brett Favre a last hurrah.

I think Rodgers is in a bad situation there. You don't want to be the guy that has to succeed Brett Favre. I think he's very fortunate, and he'll be moving to a system that makes great use of his talents. I think he can be a good NFL quarterback.

Anything the Raiders get here is good. That guy is a first class bum, and in the last few years, he's been a second class receiver.

I would definitely take Rodgers/CJohnson over JaMarcus/Moss right now. Rodgers is more ready to start in the NFL right now (though I'm sure Russell will be excellent in the future). And Calvin Johnson will be playing on a way higher level (in every way) than Moss.

The Packers may not win the Superbowl, but Favre instantly becomes a top 5 fantasy QB.
