Good chance these guys are there at #25...who do you want? I know your guy might not be on this list but if the Jets picked one of these guys who would you want?

Chris Houston CB - Unheralded CB with superior skills. Shutdown top receivers Jarrett and Meachem this past season.

DeMarcus Tyler DT - Showed tremendous improvement in his senior season, ending up 2nd in tackles for NC State in 2006.

Robert Meachem WR - Excellent size/speed combination. Led the SEC, and 3rd in nation in 2006 w/ 105 yards per game.

Greg Olsen TE - Excellence receiving TE and plays with great positional speed and a rugged toughness.

Justin Blalock G - A big solid body at 6-4" and 329 lbs. Good at run blocking but not the quickest feet.

Jon Beason LB - Versatile and highly productive, can play all LB spots equally well. Led Miami w/ 91 tackles, 10 for a loss.

Lawrence Timmons OLB - Enters draft as junior after impressive campaign in 2006. Has playmaking ability, but still learning.

Daymeion Hughes CB - Seen as an immediate starter in the NFL. Excels in physical man to man coverage. Had 8 INTs in 2006.

My pick would be Greg Olsen. This is what he brings to the table:

    - Good Size: Height:6-5 Weight:252
    - Comes from a good system: Miami
    - Soft hands and tough to bring down after the catch.
    - New Jersey Boy: Wayne Hills HS, Wayne, New Jersey
    - Very Fast 4.45 40
    - On an average team this year he still averaged 4 catches and 45 yards a game.
    - Blew it up at the combines, cool under pressure!
    - Has the look: http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/...greg-olsen.jpg
    - Would sell a shitload of jerseys!!!!

    houston won't be there....

but if he is he is a no brainer.

more likely J_Block will be our starting RG next year.

Five votes and five different picks. This draft is going to make few people happy reguardless who we get in the first round. We all want someone different and feel the Jets have a bigger need in positions.

Daymeion Hughes is the better CB and would be a quicker starter.

Houston has a lot of upside and could be the answer on the other side of Dyson.

Absolutely Blalock.Kendall will not play forever and I will like us to keep building that Oline, Hell I dont mind if we grab Both Blalock and Grubbs and have Blalock play RT nad Grubbs play OG.

I KNOW that Houston will be long gone by 25.Especially after what he did at the combine.

I know Blalock will be gone, hence Tyler pick. I wouldn't mind him if he's still there.

IF they were all available I'd say Blalock , simply because depth at Oline is poor this year and hes most definatly the best lineman there.
It was a toss up though between CB and O/line.

I'd like Blalock. Adressing your offensive line is always a step forward.

it's hard, it doesn't just matter who's there at 25, but who will be there at 59 and 63. I like Blalock, and I like building the line, but I also like Josh Beekman more. If I knew I could get Beekman at 59, then I wouldn't take Blalock at 25. Anyway, long story short: Blalock.

I would have to take Houston, he'd be the best value at that spot, then Meachem and Blalock right behind him. Beason and Timmons aren't really a good idea with our 3-4, and Hughes is solid, but doesn't have anything special. Olsen has disappointed me enough for one lifetime.

IMO, Meachem, Houston & Olsen will be gone before our 25th pick. Hughes is at best a mid rd 2nd rd pick. Tyler with his baggage ,has dropped also.

Blalock is the most realistic player filling need who's going to be available. In fact, I've read some scouts have Ben Grubbs rated higher than Blalock. I still like Blalock better, more polished and has more experience playing additional positions on the O-line.

I hear you about Olsen not living up to expectations in Miami, but some GM is going to see his measurables from the Combine, and draft him in RD 1.

IMO, Meachem is very ,very underrated and should be a mid-teen pick, that kid is awesome.
