Ten 2007 Predictions for the New York Jets ...because I can't help myself... 1. Pennington will lose his starting spot to Clemens during the season, be it to injury or game play (I love Chad, but I got a bad feeling I gotta give in to). 2. Vilma will fail to be as productive, stat-wise, as he was when we last used the 4-3. 3. Rhodes will make the Pro Bowl. 4. Thomas Jones will rush for 1,100-1,200 yards and 8 TDs. 5. Jets will go 8-8 or 9-7, and possibly make wildcard. (I can't predict the rest of the NFL!) 6. Jets will split with the Pats and the Phins, but will beat the Bills twice. 7. There will be a large number of nagging injuries to the Jets roster. 8. Erik Coleman will have a breakout year, but fail to make the Pro Bowl. 9. Laveranues Coles will have at least 800 yards receiving and 6 TDs - Jerricho Cotchery will have at least 1,100 yards and 8 TDs. 10. Mangenious will be greatly criticized midseason for not being as great as we first thought by the fans and the press, in spite of having a winning record at the time of criticism.
I can agree with everything there but number 10. I think if everything else comes to pass and the Jets go 8-8 or better he'll be immune to criticism given the facts of the season. If they go 6-10 then he'll catch some real heat.
the jets arent going 6-10, either 9-7 or 10-6. Ok, and where do you come up with the assumption that there will be many "nagging" injuries...thats like saying kellen clements is a bust...you just dont know
Hey, these are just ten predictions, based on hunches accumulated over reading and looking into everything on the New York Jets I can obtain. When I say many nagging injuries, I'm anticipating we'll have enough injuries to put us in the top ten for most number of weeks missed by players due to injuries. I understand that none of these are groundbreaking guesses, but there are ten of them, and they're honestly how I see the season going.
