Chad's arm has everything to do with 8 in the box. Still, we need to think years out and not necessarily what Chad would be able to do with a deep-threat speedster this year, so we're going to need a WR at some point soon. But to use our 1st round on a WR this year? No, I'm not for that. Lines gentlemen, lines. We ain't done yet and everything stems from the lines out.

your either really dumb or your making a half assed attempt to insult me for simply suggesting we take what could be the BPA at 25.

    either way, your not funny.

I agree with those that are saying the lines are a more immediate concern, I just don't think at 25 there will be anyone worth taking at those spots. Maybe Blaylock but do we really want to spend another first rounder on an OLineman, especially with the quality depth of OL this year. Dline, forget about it unless somehow we get lucky and Carricker drops to our spot there won't be anyone worth drafting at 25, besides the DE position has been upgraded already and there are no NTs worth taking that high. I wouldn't mind signing Keith Traylor as a stop gap to rotate with DRob..

"I think you can get a RB in rounds 2, 3, 4 that can give you what Jones can."

If it were only that easy to get a NFL proven back in the 2-4th round.

We already got a feature back, by trading down in the second.

Getting a WR like Meachem, would be two impact skill position players with your 3rd rounder left.

Exactly. I read that too. He's really talking through is ass on that one. Yeah, we're going to draft a RB in any of those rounds that's going to start immediately and have the experience and proven track record of Jones. The guy played in the f*cking Super Bowl, for Christ's sake! And he played well (not nervous, no fumbles, etc.) So how are you going to get that kind of f*cking experience and reliability in a rookie at ANY pick? Come on!

    This guy has ZERO credibilty.

Mel Kiper is nuts. NT's, DE's, RG's, game chaning WR's.....those guys can be had at any point in the draft.

We need to draft a kickoff specialist on day one.

    Question:

Whats so wrong with using a first on a WR?

We have 3 more first day picks in draft full of potential 3-4 DEs and OLBs. Why the rush if a WR is a better player than the best DL/OLB we can get?

You don't draft for need. That is how you get into trouble.

I personally feel that Coles won't be on the Jets opening day roster, which would make WR a great move on draft day. And if he is, then it will be his last year. I don't see him and Mangini staying together. I could easily see him traded to KC before the draft.

Coles and Vilma are both Jets in 2007 barring some obsene offer for their services. Mangini has 100% respect for Coles the player regardless of personality differences. Coles is a balls the wall player so Mangini will live with a little blurb in the papers here and there.

Bottom Line: Coles is staying, we will not take a WR or TE in Round 1.

Kiper is a complete tool and makes a lot of money at it.

Jets plan on going Best Player Available in every round of the draft ... in theory ... then there's the Schlegel factor.

Personally i'd love to see a quality corner slip to us at 25.

Oh, who wouldn't want to get paid for his job? I'm just saying that I'd rather be able to serve some purpose after late April.

They might as well ask Mel Kiper when exactly he thinks the next big Japanese earthquake is going to hit, because he will be just as accurate. A completely unaccountable turd of a human being. And his head is starting to look like a horseshoe crab.

    LOL

I think he has some of Barry Bonds genes, either that or they both went to Balco. Every year I see him his head gets bigger. If I was the NFL I would test him for HGH. Either that or they should do some special effects and cut his head onto a bobble head doll. I could get drunk and it would make the Draft way more interesting to watch.

or his next career as a human billboard.

    Dude, take a kotex.

I wasnt insulting you at all. had you even bothered to do the simple math you would see, that our #27, and remaining 2nd rounders put us in terms of value between 10 and 11.

At that point we would have turned those original three picks, into two Impact players at skill positions.
