Guys, we need to take Greg Olsen if he is there at 25. Sign Columbo to play right tackle and use the rest of the draft to fill out cb, dt and olb.

Olsen would take this offense to a new level. TJ, Leon, Coles, Cotch, Brad Smith, Olsen, Baker, and the great Chad Pennington would round out the offense.
    That would be sick.

So I vote to take Olsen at 25, and use the rest of our draft on defense.

    Who is with me?

Rich Cimini is with you...He mentioned in his interview today that he'd like the Jets to look at Olsen with the 25th pick.

Depends who's left. He'd certainly help the passing game but if a guy like Carriker is there I'd take him. Absolutely ideal situation might be trading our two 2nd rounders to about the 30 range and get Carriker and Olsen.

    LMAO good one.

Let me get this straight guys. You want to draft Olson and then Leonard?

You think that would make for a successful draft how?

Those two players as 1-2 for the Jets draft would be completely awful. By completely awful I mean disastrous. They fill absolutely no needs.

Olson is moving up because he is a combine commando and Leonard although he has many "intangibles" is the furthest thing from a need as well. This team needs line help first and foremost................ RT/RG/LG for the D-line it is DE/NT then CB/LB and then FB ( Leonard does not fit the road grader FB Mangini likes) ........................ then TE. Please stop these posts, Tannenbaum might read this stuff and get bad ideas.

I like Olsen, but best case scenario IMO would be for us to snag one of the good CB's at #25. I wish Justin Miller would be further along as the #2 CB, but since he's not, we need to pull the trigger.

he would add a new dimension to our offense, it would be really hard to pass on him

I would rather see them pick a CB, DL, OL at 25 or trade the pick down for more picks then to get a TE at 25. Baker is under utilized as it is, give him a real shot to catch the ball first before picking up another TE that early in the draft.

No way, we have a TE and his name is Chris Baker. Address a major need at #25.

I would only take him if Justin Blalock is off the board.........

Have we cut David Barrett yet? And what's with McCareins?

Absolutely not. Had 40 catches last year and 1 TD. Against FSU he had 2 catches for 8 yards. We had a guy like him, Becht, no YAC, avgs 12 yds a catch and weighs 252. Why on EARTH do we take this guy in the first round when we DONT EVEN NEED A TE?????? 1 td 1! on 40 catches.
