Offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, fullback, tightend, cornerback.

And maybe a developmental QB to sit behind Pennington and Clemens and learn the Jet's system.

Looks like the Jets are going to sign one or two more D-linemen in free agency and, hopfully, a right tackle. If that all happens, I'm thinking that, if there is a solid nose tackle available, they pounce. If not, CB.

That's not in a paticular order I assume? Becuase there is no way in hell we go for a TE before we get a CB.

Personally, I would like to see this team have a real pass rush. Draft DL and LB!!!

We could tighten up pretty much any position on defense. Especially Cornerback and the line.

Other than defensive line and offensive line everything else is in no particular order.

Really even the linemen should be subject to the best available player rule. That's how you build a great team. Never compromise on value for need. That said I think it's pretty clear that the Jets could avoid drafting a RB, WR or S this season and be pretty safe.

So I'd take DL, OL and LB and figure the first day picks are probably going there unless a great CB prospect drops to the 25. I'd look at CB, FB, TE and QB on the second day picks. With the best available prospect in each positional clump determing who was gonna get taken at each pick.

    He re-signed with Oakland

As for the draft, at #25 you take a long, hard look as players like Quentin Moses (OLB), Justin Blaylock (G), and Aaron Ross (CB). There's probably no real value at DE or NT here, and those are probably our other biggest needs. It's possible that we go for Ryan McBean with one of our second rounders and if we don't go for Moses, Spencer, or Moss as OLB at #25 we go for Woodley with our other second rounder. If we don't go CB in the first, I think we go Josh Wilson in the 3rd. Also, if we don't make the minor reach for Blaylock in the first I think we go Manuel Ramirez or Josh Beekman (if he falls) in the second.

Just to sum up I think the scenario we go based on who we've been said to have scouted at the combine and such would be:

    Moses (OLB) - Beekman/Ramirez (G) - McBean (3-4 DE) - Wilson (CB)

That gets us our pass rush at #25, run blocking at #57, someone to rotate in with Coleman with potential at #63, and a phenominal physical specimen with good instincts for CB in the third.

    or

    Blaylock (G) - Woodley (OLB) - McBean - Wilson

Switching the first two picks to get the elite guard and a guy that many on this board have wanted who is a leader of the Michigan team.

I'm also assuming here that we get Columbo or resign Clement for RT, or else that's a top priority.
