Hey sweet we got a pick too!! Awesome deal! It would have been very very nice to get both the 26th and 37th pick but at least with Jones we know what we're getting....I do believe that we'd have done well and gotten a good guy with the pick too....
Im just holidng my breath for this contract agreement to go through. Because my understanding is if their is no contract theirs no trade.
Love this deal...that Redskins trade down in the draft last year is even bigger now. We now have some great skill position players. As for the contract, I don't think Tannenbaum would've agreed to the deal if he wasn't willing to extend the contract.
It's hard not to like this trade, Jones is head and heels better than Houston. Getting him for the equivalent of a 3rd round pick is a very good deal. Hope it works out for us.....
I'm going to give the Jets a pass on this one. I think it's an iffy deal but I don't think it's a bad deal and I trust the current regime enough to not bitch about it. Jones will be half of a pretty good RBBC right now.
Hey look, this is at least an even deal, if not in our favor. More than likely, it's in our favor. I really like it. We may only get 2 or 3 seasons out of him, but who cares, he instantly makes our team better. What else really matters?
Just saw this on JI: Jones, Stephen Jackson, Larry Johnson and LaDainian Tomlinson are the only RBs the past two years with 2500+ rushing yards, 15+ rushing TDs, 4.0+ YPC and 50+ receptions.
