I like Thomas Jones, but isn't a 2nd rounder this year a little high? I at least hope it's our later 2nd rounder.

Wow. Pretty good trade, especially if it's for our own second round pick.

Love the trade.. if its our second rounder and not the other one it would make this even better.

im surprised the bears traded him...i'm not sure if cedric benson is ready to be a starter...i LOVE the idea of jones as a starter with neon leon as a 3rd down/scat back and cedric houston as a short yardage back...i also love jones' versatility and ability to catch out of the back field

I think it said that the Jets were getting the Bears second rounder back. Did I see wrong?

Nah, he's actually a young 29. And by young I mean not a lot of mileage. He only his first 200+ carry season in 2004.

Jones kicks ass. Works hard, he's a team guy, and he's relatively fresh for a 29 year old RB.

Still, I'm excited for a run at Turner next year. Hehehe.

Perfect mix of a power back (with speed) to combine with Leon.

Dude we moved down like 10 spots in the draft to get our starting RB for cheap.

Are you KIDDING ME? This deal is AMAZING.

I love the trade then. The Jets will still have 2 second rounders and Thomas Jones is a beast. By far the best RB in this free agency (I'm not counting Michael Turner).

My only question is what does (or will) his contract look like?
