It's amazing to me how Sox fans are so proud of Manny and Ortiz beating the Yankees. (2 of the best hitters in the sport.)

But they conveniently forget a guy named Bucky Dent.

Mets fans have exactly 1 decade where they won more titles than the Yankees, and that was by beating the Sox, but their jealousy is so all-consuming for the winningest franchise in American sports that they put it all aside to hate the Yanks in a loving embrace.

World Series History: Championships by Club
    Team New York Yankees
    Total 26
    Year 1923, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000

    Team Boston Red Sox
    Total 6
    Year 1903, 1912, 1915, 1916, 1918, 2004

    Team New York Mets
    Total 2
    Year 1969, 1986

Fact is, the Yankees have LOST more World Series (13) than the Mets and Red Sox have WON. Hell, between both teams, they only have 15 World Series APPEARANCES.

See, I guess it's really easy to target the so-called GYC, since it was ONE TIME in a long history of victory parties thrown in pinstripes. For the Mets and Sox, the collapse is every year. But I guess consistency is admirable.

I love how Yankee fans love to bring up 26 championships, when the Mets weren't a team until 1962

    Oh BTW GYC!

Fine, compare the Yankees championships to the Mets since 62 and see if that makes you feel a little better

heck they can use 1962-current(45 years) vs. just 3 years for the Yanks('98-'00) and we still have them beat in Championships:lol:

Hahahahaha the stupidity of Met fans is unequaled. Enjoy that pitching staff with Aaron Sele and Chan Ho Park boys. Pavano is your third starter at worst...and to that I say lol.

Hell, we can spot them all the way to 69, just so they already have a title that year to play from. And we STILL have them both beat.
