Guys I'm about to head off to bed and I am two spots away from drafting, can I PM one of you guys my next pick seeing as I won't be on-line for the next 13 hours-ish?
A big thanks to Murrell2878 for making my pick.I wanted another skill position on offense and I was going to target Cooley before he was taken.I decided to take a running back and felt Henry was the best of the bunch(although there are two good backs still left imo).Running back is a pretty important position and Henry had a great season last year gaining 4.5 yards a pop and gaining over 1200 yards. The Washington pick is a great one,he had a bit of a down season last year but he has been one of the best OLB over the past 4/5 years.
I'm here but before I make my pick I've got a quick question. I'm thinking of switching my scheme and going to the 3-4 and switching Osi Umenyora to a OLB. He is undersized to play DE in the 4-3 and is extremely fast and could get around the edge. Let me know soon please so I can make my next pick. And while you are letting me know tell me what you think of Osi at this position. By the way, Osi is 6-3 261 and Merriman is 6-4 262.. just comparing size and speed Osi seems like a good fit
I see no problem w/ that. When the giants made the trade for Eli the chargers asked for the giants 1, 3 and Osi. He is athletic enough to be a 3-4 OLB
Nice, well I'm going to make my pick with that logic and hopefully I can change it if there is a change.
D.J. Williams: I believed that he was probably the most talented LB left on the board. He had an excellent rookie season and has tailed off a bit. However, he has good speed and tackles well and is only 24. I was close to not taking him but then remembered that Bart Scott plays MLB in the 3-4. (you were close bigalxc)
No love for Jason Campbell? I think he showed he can play in the league as the season progressed playing on a crappy redskins offense
