After going 4-12 two seasons ago and then 10-6 last season and making the playoffs I would say that we came pretty close to a Superbowl.
And with the exception of Thomas which of those would you like the Jets to sign or aquire? Dan Wilkinson one of the bigget busts in NFL history? Would you like to see them give up a 2nd rounder for Wes Welker? Most of those guys are backup players at best. They are nobodies, Andre Johnson wasn't a FA so it's not like that was a potential move. Give me a break man, would you like to see the Jets break the bank on Daniel Graham or Reggie Kelly?
If you’re thinking of creating another “Jets-doing-nothing-in-FA-thread” is there any way I could talk you into PM me first??? Please make sure to give me enough advance warning so i can get some popcorn ready. Anyway, I care more about how the Jets will address the team hard knock issues before the beginning of the season. The off season isn’t over yet! Let's see what cap casualties happen in the late off season, let's see some draft day trades, lets see who we draft, lets see what happens before we bash the Jets. You can sit there in a puddle of tears having a pity party for yourself if other teams in the NFL are over paying for 1 player in FA, set your sights on the goals the Jets want to achieve, not the small picture. Peace out, L3
No, both of those teams won Super Bowls long before they signed the neon one. The fact that he arrived for the 3rd of each of their string of Super Bowls is noteworthy but he definitely was not remotely involved with the establishment of those dynasties. Montana, Aikman, Rice, Smith, Lott and Haley. Those were the dynastic players. Haley was probably the most significant being on two of the 49ers teams before he was traded to Dallas and on all 3 there.
55 and counting.... I assume nobody on this site is crazy enough to think that perhaps maybe just ONE of the 55 guys signed over the last 3 days could help our team become better next year? We have tons of holes to fill and we've done nothing. From John Clayton on ESPN.com: "With 55 signings or re-signings of restricted free agents in the first three days of free agency, negotiations are slowing a tad, but the pace has been furious. It's staggering to think that 18 percent of the 307 unrestricted free agents are off the boards in the first 72 hours. By Monday night, more than 20 percent of the free agents will likely be gone." Here's the only refernce in Clayton's substantial summary of the first three days of free agency regarding the Jets: "Things should start heating up on the backup quarterback market. Raiders quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo visits the Browns on Monday and has a trip planned to the Jets, who cut Patrick Ramsey["/B] It's gonna be a long year, boys and girls.
Would you quit bitching already? 3 days into free agency and you make it seem like we went through free agency and didn't sign one person. There are plenty of solid free agents out there to help us. PLENTY!....
What possesses someone to create another "The Jets Haven't Done Anything" thread when there are already several out there? One is too many.
Hahahaha this guy can't be serious.... it's going to be a long year because we haven't signed anyone 3 days into free agency?? lmfao ahahhahahhahahhah
you want the jets to over-spend on some mediocre to halfway decent free agent just to sign someone? Makes no sense.
