Or instead of pissing off Petro with this idea either just use the bs bowl for baseball or just create 1 sub forum for all of baseball

That is true, putting the game threads in with the official thread would be an horrible idea, and having a game thread for more than 1 series could get obscenely big, basically just the Post to 1 million thread - baseball style

I don't see the issue with multiple game threads either, it's not like the front page was flooded with dozens of them at a time, at the most you'd have one for the yankees and one for the mets. Rarely there would be a discussion at the end of one of the threads that carried over to the next day, but I imagine most of that will go on in the "official" discussion threads now. Maybe there's a mod/board performance issue that I'm not seeing.

Slightly off topic, but there should be a seperate forum exclusively for "___________ just got cut, should we get him?" threads.

By the next game the game thread before has already fallen into the second page. I like the game thread for each game, it never seemed to be a problem before & I don't see why it would be a problem now.

If it is then might as well make the BS Bowl sub forum the game thread forum, all it is is taking up space now anyway.

I like the idea of a thread per series.

there is the game thread issue, but also move that is the individual threads for signings and trades or other news. Next thing you know, with two teams, you have 4 active baseball threads per day in a generic forum. I'll try pushing the separate forum idea.

i dont see what the problem is with 5 threads...besides that though, you're only adding 2 more threads to whats already in the forum.

We already have official threads for the mets and yankees and the MLB.

    then the 2 others.

1 series thread for whoever the mets are playing
1 series thread for whoever the yankees are playing..

so really, whats 2 more threads?

I just don't see what the issue is for multiple thread per day. It is not like the BS forum is all that active. The BS forum is at its best during baseball season. What really is the big deal?

Separate forum idea sounds best, or series. I didn't really notice any cluttering last year with game threads.

As a non-viewer of any baseball thread I like the idea of keeping those threads down to a mininum.

But does it really bother you to have two extra threads for games or series.. it doesn't seem like that much

Doesn't seem like much, but it is annoying. I remember a few months ago, I sent some PMs out for suggestions on forum restructuring, and many made a point to minimize the number of baseball threads in the bs forum. That's what we'll do one way or another.

No. I know I can't be selfish. After all the Aussies are a minority here and we would never complain about an American site having baseball/hockey/basketball threads. We even start Aussie rules and Cricket threads and I would be happy if you want to merge them into one "Aussie sports talk" thread.

Generally posting is usually discussing a current game or series so why not just keep it all in one team thread continuosly rolling along.

I don't understand this attitude. No one reads or has interest in every topic in the BS forum. Does it really annoy people to have to see a baseball thread in the topic list? It's not like we name the threads "Hot Chicks Inside" and then bam you're tricked into reading about last night's Mets game.
