You don't know he's on the Jet's board too! But when it quacks like a duck....you know the rest. What I've been stressing, Mangini has made it crystal clear to his staff..." don't bring me a player you've scouted with major character issues".......this is all fact. I'm not arguing with the measurables of Tyler, he's got great size and agility...no question. My assumption of Tyler off the Jets' Board is more probable with my supporting information, then just internet non-supportative babble that he's on the Jet's board. Not one person has supported their premise, Tyler is still on the Jet's board. I have supported my side of this issue. Here's the article in Black & White..............http://www.newsobserver.com/122/story/496919.html
Just sounds like a kid growing up and learning (hopefully) from his mistakes. The fact that hes apologised because he knows he was wrong takes character , the right sort of character. It takes a big man to admit they were wrong and apologise and I like him more for doing that.
We can agree to disagree................when the Jets's draft Tyler..cough, cough...you can tell me I told you so.....but it ain't going to happen. Do you know why he is repenting? A huge payday is on the horizon. There have too many incidents...Assault on a Peace Officer, spitting in a player's face, not too mention drunk and disorderly (But, we all have been that). Plus a another factor , is Tank Tyler is known to be lazy and not a hard worker. If I'm investing Millions of dollars on a player, I'd make sure that character wasn't a concern.
I'm not sure we will draft him , but I wouldn't run down the street screaming if we don't , just looks an interesting prospect.
Without question, Tyler is a good player, when he is motivated. What I do like, he had a good year without Mario Williams and Manny Lawson. With his physical abilities, he should be a top 10 player in the draft, but my earlier posts have detailed his shortcomings and why he will fall to late rd 1 or rd 2.
