Chiefs | Huard agrees to deal Tue, 27 Feb 2007 12:55:58 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a three-year contract with QB Damon Huard. Huard wouldn't reveal terms, but the deal is believed to be worth approximately $7.5 million. Huard was scheduled to become a free agent. The signing of Huard puts QB Trent Green's return in question
I would say 7.5 mil for a career back up is alot but he is playing for the QB killer Herm so I guess he's good for at least 4 starts this year
Huard may very well be the starter there this year. Green has a 9+ million dollar cap hit this year; if he decides not to restructure he will probably be let go...
Geez... Why wouldn't I be suprised if Herm starts the season with a career back up... Wonder how the Chiefs fans feel about that
They probably feel like the move is way past its due. Huard played much better than Trent Green last year and Herm, pansy that he is, refused to bench Green after he stank up the joint.
