wow, Meachem is a burner. Still though, with Chad as our QB, Meachem would just out-run Chad's deep balls.

Calvin Johnson is crazy fast. There's no doubt in my mind that he'll be in the pro bowl within the next 3 years

Clowney is also on the track team. I think he runs like the 100 M or something, maybe even hurdles.

I've watched him every year he was at Tech and I would say he has the opportunity to be a good receiver in the league but is probably not starting material. I would put his ceiling well below Ernest Wilford's was when he came out and would compare him to someone like Todd Pinkston. He is good for 1 deep ball a game but not much in between because I think he is mostly top end speed. However, continuously burning people deep opens up the hook routes so he catches a few intermediate balls in there as well.

Would he complement or duplicate Coles and Cotchery?
(yes, I have an answer in mind for this.)

Gonzalez actually reminds me of Cotchery a little bit...........

I would really rather have Dwayne Jarrett though.... but thats not happening......

Higgins was a disappointment. I thought the guy was going to be sub 4.4

We need a bigger WR to be a deep threat if any. My ideal WR is Robert Meachem with his size, speed and physicality (if thats a word).

Anthony Gonzalez reminds of Tim Dwight with his size and speed.

He would be nice. Matt Trannon would be a great sleeper in like the 5th or 6th round. 6'6" 4.6 40 and a 36 in vertical. Poor man's Plaxico Burress.

the other thing about meachem people forget is his hands are great. i wouldnt mind picking him up if the best OLB prospects are gone and Justin Blalock isnt on the board. then WR is a must, I worry about Coles. i mean we'll get another good 2-3 yrs but who knows.

My best bet says that Meachem put himself in the top ten with that 40 added to what he did this past season, at lowest to the Niners at 11.

I was surprised that all of the WRs ran so well for the most part, some great times from all the skill positions this year, I can't wait to see what Wilson and Wade run, I bet one breaks into the 4.2's.

Meachem is my man of the moment right now at the WR position. About 6'3" running a 4.3. That's incredible. I think we might have a shot at him witht he 25th pick, but things aren't looking as smooth as they once were.

The guy probably solidified himself as a top 20 pick. 18-22 range, most likely.
