Scott Chandler the TE of Iowa. It was down to him and Bazuin as who Id pick in the 3rd round. Idk if hes a reach but hes not a bad player. Hes similar to Zach Miller, except not as good of an offensive weapon but a better blocker.
the seahawks already have the "punk" TE jerramy stevens, who, although how unliked he is, he does play good most of the time, so I don't support this pick.
He drops a lot of passes, way too many in fact. He always seems to have a temper or some kind of on-field problems with coaches and players. Plus, Seattle cut Itula Mili and doesn't have good depth. Nice pick by them. Plus, Jeremy Stevens is a free agent. Plus, Scott Chandler was a big steal there... Great pick.
A lot of you guys ripped on the Miller pick but I love my picks so far (including Miller). Also, RB is a much bigger need for Denver than WR so my last two picks for Denver filled their biggest need on either side of the ball. Here are my day one picks: Steelers 15. Levi Brown OT Pittsburgh 46. Eric Weddle S Utah 77. Kenny Irons RB Auburn Broncos 21. Leon Hall CB Michigan 56. Zach Miller TE Arizona State University 70. Ryan McBean DT (4-3)/DE (3-4) Oklahoma State 87. Antonio Pittman RB Ohio State Now what do you think?
Nice draft for Pittsburgh. They could have used a power back rather than Irons to complement Willie Parker, but not bad. Solid draft for Denver (Minus Miller, which I don't like). Good pick at #87 with Pittman.
Pittman is good at reading blocks, which makes him perfect for Denver's zone running game. Great pick, and even though there's a better valued RB on the board he'd be a bad fit in a zone running game. I agree with JetsInPa, 3 great picks and 1 terrible one for Denver. How're my teams? Bucs 4. WR Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech 35. DT Quinn Pitcock, Ohio State 64. DE Ray McDonald, Florida 68. OLB Stewart Bradley, Nebraska Cowboys 22. WR Ted Ginn Jr., Ohio State 53. CB Tanard Jackson, Syracuse 88. OL Manuel Ramirez, Texas Tech
Nice job with both... Tampa Bay gets a phenom at WR, a great defensive lineman who can play DE/DT, a nice run-stopping DE and a young Linebacker. I'll say, A- I love Manuel Ramirez at #88, excellent job! Tanard Jackson was a nice pickup also. Good job going for a WR, but I'm not in love with Ted Ginn, even though he was a great value there... A- for Dallas Overall, I'd be satisfied.
Thanks. I don't think Ginn was that big of a steal anymore, especially due to that foot injury. But, he's an incredible deep threat and a Hester-like kick returner, making him a very valuable weapon to team up with Terry Glenn in '07 and become the man in '08.
im going to make a seperate thread for teams so far where everybody can update and keep track of everybodys selections
I think for Dallas you have gotten amazing value at all of the picks, I would give it definitely an A. And you got some good picks with Tampa Bay, I love Calvin Johnson, and the other guys are all solid prospects, but none really standout greatly as an amazing pick. You reached a little bit for Pitcock also. I would give Tampa Bay a B+.
As a Jet fan I am PRAYING they take this RB....what a fucking heist would this man be for us in the 3rd round.
wilson's my boy  im looking at a certain rb later. trust me if wilson is there in the third, hell be a jet.
And the Jet oriented crowd once chanting his name goes to a ''awwwwwwwwww'' in typical Jets fan fashion.
NOOOOO!! I knew you were gonna pick him!!!! Ahh, he was perfect for the Patriots!!! Arghh. Now I probably cant go CB.
