I had some serious issues with my lap top and wireless connection today, so I'm getting to you all late. As you all may already know, Greg Olsen (from the "U") blew the doors off of the 40 with his 4.45. I think the speed alone puts him ahead of Zach Miller of Arizona State. Olsen is an excelllent receiver and a solid blocker. The #1 offensive lineman at the combine, Joe Thomas, ran a 4.92 and had 28 reps with 225 lbs. I think his #1 status could be in jeopardy because Levi Brown broke out a 31 spot and he does not have past knee problems like Thomas. Gaines Adams from Clemson came in at 258 pounds, which has a lot of teams worried about him losing his edge in speed with added weight. Hmmmm, maybe they can look at that Freeney guy in Indy and think twice; not that Adams is going to run a 4.4. like Freeney did coming out. By the way, there is a buzz around here about the Giants looking to get Willis McGehee in free agency to team up with Brandon Jacobs. P.S. please don't dirty this thread with crap. If you don't have anything to contribute, don't write it out! Laugh of the day: I was with Marcus Thomas and his agents after he had interviewed with the national media and sirius radio; we had gone over to some guys from Nike who wanted to talk business at one of the local hotels and Zach Taylor, QB from Nebraska was there talking about a potential deal. I don't know about you all, but Zach freaking Taylor trying to get a shoe deal like he's the real deal is a joke!!
The story is that Calvin Johnson came in at 236 lbs or somewhere around there; he had a 45 inch vertical and ran a 4.33....... Details to come later!!!!
The story is that Calvin Johnson came in at 236 lbs or somewhere around there; he had a 45 inch vertical and ran a 4.33....... Details to come later!!!! Lorenzo Booker hit 26 reps on the bench.....
4.33 but anyword on what surface it was on? running on track can take away .2 from you speed. i.e. kevin Jones claiming he could run a 4.2 but that wasnt on grass. I love calvin but i find it hard to believe a 6-5 238 guy can run a 4.33
no offense but i'll wait for confirmation. he sure as hell didnt show that kind of speed/athleticism on the football field
That was the story, now, I hear that it was at a recent workout..... Hey, getting live information does not guarantee it's accuracy.....
bills have him on the trade block i looks like. Greg Olsen Miami 6-5/254 Ran a 4.45...Did 23 reps of 225**
dude i know who he is. and what are you trying to prove with that video anyway? he didnt show anything 4.33 or 45-inch vertical related in that video. its just a 1 minute video compilation of his best catches in his college career
I was watching the nfl network all day. His vertical is legit no doubt, but the 40 yard dash I believe will be around 4.45 or 4.5 for him. Some people have said he ran a 4.33 my question is, is that on grass with cleats or on track?
there is an article on espn about it now... would be great to get mcgahee out of the division...not that he is a great rb, but he dominates us twice a year
he ran that 4.33 at a private workout...according to his agent i guess he will probably run a 4.47 with a vertical of 42. thatd be my guess
im not that concerned about CJ's 40 b/c this guy is hands down the best player in the draft...and the best wr i have seen in a long long time
