I couldnt care less what a guy does off the football field. As long as isnt like a TO, which this guy is more a off field guy rather than an on the field guy. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Thats the wrong attitude. F**k Pacman, I take pride in having class and Id rather the Jets be a classy team. If it means sacrificing a few games so be it.Adam(Pacman as he likes to call himself) belongs in prison. Hes a piece of shit and I hope he stays away from the Jets. Im in favor of a 3 strike rule.
No joke if it does indeed turn out to be true, ban him from the league for a year or two with no pay.
Don't know if anyone has heard this or not... I was listening to Howard Stern this morning and they had some interesting tidbits with this whole crazy situation. They played back some clips of the strip club manager playing back the night of the incident. I will try to recall the best I can. Pac Man had been partying that night and was "supposedly" carrying around a backpack with somewhere around $80,000 cash that night. Someone had mentioned he was spotted at the "Ghost bar" or the "Ghost club" I can't recall exactly. He arrives at the strip club and proceeds to dump the backpack full of money on the ground. The night club manager was fimiliar with this and said it was "a ritual for Pac Man." The whole idea of this ritual is that the strippers cannot pick up the money until Pac Man says so. Apparently one of the strippers was not familiar with this and proceeded to pick up the money before Pac Man acknowledged her. He then grabbed her by the hair, pushed her into the stage, and puched her in the face. At this point a bouncer restrained Pac Man. Pac Man was heard saying something to the affect of, "I'm going to kill you." Moments later one of the guys Pac Man was with shows up with a gun and shoots the bouncer in the chest. Certain parts of this story were hard for me to catch becuase I was unter a bridge but some other points I made out: Pac Man bit another bouncer in the ankles after the shooting He also chased down the same stripper, and punched her in the back of the head. The strip club manager says he has footage of this recorded by security cameras. At one point Pac Man left and returned to the club after the shooting. I believe this is where the second man was shot. One of the men was in critical condition and the other may never walk again.
These kind of disparaging posts of St. PacMan the Divine will not be tolerated on this site sir... BAN PLZ!!!:breakdance:
More on St. Pacman. What a tool..... http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.asp?s=6146420 Drug Dealer's Recorded Calls Mention Pacman's Troubles Feb 27, 2007 12:11 AM Drug Dealer's Recorded Calls Mention Pacman's Troubles Adam "Pacman" Jones was at the scene of a triple shooting at a Las Vegas Strip Club a week ago and although police said he is only a witness there are allegations he knows the shooter and may have started the mle. Exclusive conversations from a drug investigation revealed more into Jones' association with trouble. In March, 2006 Metro Police announced some major drug arrests. A lot of the evidence for the arrests was from conversations police had taped with different dealers. Although Jones faced no charges in connection with the investigation, his name was mentioned in the taped recordings. In one of Metro's largest busts to date, the drug trafficking investigation netting nearly 2,000 pounds of drugs, nine major arrests and more than 20 vehicles; the most noticeable was a Cadillac linked to Jones. Jones faced no charges in the drug investigation. The car wasn't registered to him and was apparently borrowed for a rap video. Jones' buddy convicted drug dealer Darryl Moore was the center of the investigation and now his conversations may be very telling of Jones' own problems. "We gotta slow down, man. We gotta get him focused on football, man. He's focused on too much other s****," Moore said. NewsChannel 5 obtained wiretapped phone conversations between Moore and his friends. In one conversation he talked about Jones throwing his money into gambling, putting thousands of dollars on college games to make a quick buck. Moore, a convicted Felon now facing another round of hard time, actually worried Jones was spiraling out of control. Moore said he cared about his friend and how all of his habit could affect his career. "You know, I was talkin' to him the other day about smokin', and he was like man, if I didn't smoke I couldn't take all the stress that I'm dealing with right now,'" Moore said. Moore also talked about Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher who he said visited Jones at home. "Fisher's being as patient as a m*****f***** as he can. Fisher gotta win. Fisher trying to win...He ain't putting up with that s***," Moore said. The Titans have said in the past they've talked to Jones. Lawyers and judges have certainly counseled him as well. "He gotta concentrate on season...that ******* drug test coming up," he said. "We telling him he needed 33 days before he took his ******* test; dry-out, and he didn't...that's let me know right there that he ain't taking his ****** job serious." Jones faced no charges in connection with the drug arrests. He has not been charged with anything in the Vegas incident. However, Moore has been indicted and will face trial next month. Titans management has not commented specifically on Jones future with the team except to say they have talked about it, will talk to Pacman and there is always the potential of letting him go.
I dont know if anyone else posted this but I read it on CNNSI and I think its a good idea but a lil too leaniant ... A group of NFL veterans urged the league to institute a "three strikes-you're-out" policy during a four-hour meeting on player misconduct with union chief Gene Upshaw, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, Steelers owner Dan Rooney, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis and others at the scouting combine in Indianapolis on Friday. -- New York Daily News http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/scorecard/02/27/truth.rumors.nfl/1.html
That's far too harsh for St. PacMan is already on his 9th bump with the law... I'd be in favor of a 15 convictions and you're out policy... seems much more fair to St. PacMan the Divine
if you read the thread, this is all mentioned. That clip of the co-owner of the club was from last week.
Big Bag of Cash Wasn't All Pacman's Posted Feb 27th 2007 7:24AM by JJ Cooper Filed under: Titans, AFC South http://www.aolsportsblog.com/2007/02/27/big-bag-of-cash-wasnt-all-pacmans/ The owner of the strip club where a triple shooting occurred says that Pacman Jones didn't own all of the money in the big garbage bag full of $81,000 that the police confiscated. According to Minxx owner Rob Susnar, that money included cash from rapper Nelly and producer Jermaine Dupri as well as some of the collections from a $100 (!) cover charge to get into the club. Susnar says that only $3,500 of the money belonged to Jones, and he doesn't want Pacman to end up getting back thousands of dollars that aren't his. But Susnar doesn't explain exactly where the $81,000 comes from, since he credits Nelly and Dupri with bringing $10,000 in addition to Pacman's $3,500, so there's a lot of unknown money floating out there unless the club collected cover charges from 6,500 people, which seems unlikely in a small club. Beyond that, the new Tennessean story has a little additional detail that we haven't read before--both Susnar and a strip club employee who wouldn't allow his name to be used painted Jones as a lesser celebrity who was trying to keep up with Nelly and Dupri. But beyond that, all we find out is that the police still aren't talking and Susnar once again makes it clear that he blames Pacman for the shooting.
Pac Man is inocent! He was framed by the LAPD! Society owes him a debt for defeating the hated New York Giants!
Personally This is a guy I want on the Jets. He is a beast in the defensive backfield!. Who would you prefer, 'Toast' Miller?!
Jones may not return to Titans facility later this monthAssociated Press http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2793441 NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher doesn't expect troubled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones to return to the Titans' facility with the rest of his teammates when they report March 19. The NFL is examining 10 separate incidents in which Jones has been questioned by police since being drafted, including a Feb. 19 triple shooting at a Las Vegas strip club. Fisher and chief operating officer Steve Underwood met with Jones' lawyers at the attorneys' request Friday for what Fisher characterized as an information-gathering meeting. Fisher said the Titans are still gathering their own information before deciding whether to keep Jones. "As an organization it's always been our policy to gather facts and to make sure we have all the information, and that's what we're doing," he said. "At this point, I don't see him coming back on the 19th." Fisher was clearly upset that Jones failed to inform team officials about two arrests in Fayette County, Ga., last year, including one related to a search for drugs at the home Jones bought for his mother. "Typically speaking, if there's a situation like this, it's the player's responsibility to inform the club and that did not take place," Fisher told reporters Friday. Jones' attorneys, Worrick Robinson and Manny Arora, said on radio station WGFX on Friday morning that they didn't expect Jones to be charged in the Las Vegas episode, but acknowledged that their client too often is in the wrong place at the wrong time. "If he doesn't commit to changing it, at some point it's going to be too much," Arora said. "It may already be there to some extent."
