That site has it wrong. Those aren't the 1961 uni's. Those are the 1962 ones. Ans the away jersey isn't even totally accurate.
have you ever even seen them in real play? they will obviously look a little different in todays football.
Since we are on old jerseys can any of the older guys (of which I am one so relax) remember a LB that the JETS had who is the only player ever to have his nickname on his jersey and not his last name. I can't remember his real name nor his nick name he played i believe before the merger with the NFL.
Good call !! Yeah, he had Wahoo on the back instead of Ed or whatever his name was. I think I have a picture of it in one of my old yearbooks I'll see if I can dig it up over the weekend. In the meantime...
If this is just to make some more money on a third jersey then... It worked! I can't wait to get one!
Ugh I hate the idea of throwback jerseys. Especially when they are as fugly looking as those old Titans jerseys..
http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=17381 Does this mean you won't freeze yourself for that game now? Cause I still think you really should try.
With OJDidIt banned, I'd say you've moved into his spot as the most worthless waste of carbon to post on this board.
Agreed. The Jets wear their Titans throwbacks and the Titans wear their Oilers throwbacks. Makes by far the most sense, for the money the Vince Young Oilers jerseys would make.
Those are some ugly uniforms. The whole idea of throwbacks escapes me, except for the economics of making money on a different jersey. The Jets have one of the best uniforms in the league. Why wear some awful jersey from decades ago? It is only to make money. I don't want to see it. I don't even like the green pants the Jets wear with the current uniforms.
yeah those jerseys are ugly.. I wouldnt mind it though just for fun. Don't bet on it being Tennessee in the Oilers uniforms, that would be cruel to Houston fans who got screwed, plus it would kinda be bad PR for the Titans trying to create their own image.
Well the Oilers did play as the Tennessee Oilers back in 1997 and 1998. I think all throwback material belongs to Tennesse to sell.
The current uniforms are throwbacks from decades ago. And they were brought back initially for the economics of making money, until Parcells asked the league if the Jets could keep them.
hey maybe if we wear them against the pats,we can finally beat theam @ home for the first time in 7 years.
