Going AWOL and the promotion/relegation idea are two different issues. We should be careful not to confuse them.
That's fine. But if someone is badly inactive and manages to finish above the bottom 2, they're gone as well. It's the one thing I can't stand. You can suck, but at least try.
What's the league precendent on this? Have we kicked people out before for going AWOL for extended periods?
This is the second official season. There was one before it, but it wasn't the same group, it was kind of re-request and re-admit. We had decided to boot the 10P10/Jack combo, the former claims he will be active if the team is his own.
I remember, I've been in all three. I just don't remember having to kick anybody out before so I'm hoping we won't have to do it this year (and I'm sure all of us feel the same). I'm a traditionalist, I'd like the league to stay as consistent as possible. I favored the promotion relegation last year because I think it adds a unique aspect to the league and makes the league more competitive and so I support it again this year... not sure how the AWOL rule would work out so I'm skeptical. I vote no contest.
So I guess the first vote of the year will be who will be the 12th owner? Green Dude or 10Pennington10? Either post your choice in this thread or pm it to me.
if they are in our league they can not be in another. i say neither and get Murrell.he is at least honest, not like green dude. and 10penn10 was inactive last year ,how do we know we can trust him now?????
Take standard H2H settings, and as of now, add OBP for hitters, walks for pitchers, and an extra SP slot. OFs, not individual.
I say 10P10. I'm not sure how the whole "co-owners" thing worked, but if he says that was what happened, I think he should get another shot. Plus he seems to know his baseball from what I've seen.
For the draft, weekends are the absolute worst for me. Beginning of the week usually works out better. Mon, Tue or Wed.
