He's probably done. He didn't just suffer a small tear, he severely tore up all his ligaments. McGahee and Namath didn't suffer such severe injuries. It's like the difference between spraining your wrist and having it almost chopped off, just hanging by a thread. Of course recovery will be harder if not impossible. I think medical data actually shows the opposite, that Culpepper will never fully recover, and could very well be done as an NFL QB. In fact, that's probably the very reason the Vikings want a 2nd round for him, because they realize they can't rely on him, so why would someone be stupid enough to trade it to them? Teams can just wait around until the asking price drops, or until the Vikings just cut him, and then sign Culpepper to a small contract in about a year.
no. Vinny Testaverde isn't injured, is a better quarterback to start with, and he doesn't cost 140 million dollars either.
Really? Where are you getting your facts? McGahee completely (as opposed to partially) tore his ACL, PCL and MCL. His ACL was reconstructed with grafts taken from his Patellar tendon. His MCL and PCL were ripped from their attachment points (a good thing actually) and then sewn back to the bone at their original mooring spots. What "medical data" are you referring to? I'd be very interested to review it.
Nah, I don't have any medical data, I just wanted to test your argument. I don't feel the argument is really worth my time to search and review medical data, although I do think it's a good idea to do so in any serious argument. I would have to look at your data before I'd personally consider it credible, but since I don't have the time or drive for that these days, I'll just accept your argument. Good work
Yes make a youth movement in all areas and then bring in Daunte. That's brilliant. Culpepper is about as overrated as they come, excluding Vick. I'd rather have Neil O'Donnell back before Daunte.
Wow. If you really believe that, its a very good thing for Jets fans and your continued survival on Earth that you are not enlisted with the responsibility to make such decisions. At least Bradway doesn't need to wear a bullet proof vest. BTW, Culpepper is a year younger than Chad.
NOOOO....i dont like him. He just throws high in the air, not accurate at all he is all hype. Randy made him...if you notice like 80% of his throws to randy were high were no one can get them but randy... We just noticed last year he cant do it...and i dont want to hear he had a bad year blah who the hell throws that many INT's in such few games please for whoever defends him....he never threw that many with randy there.
How about Abe for Daunte? Vikings don't play a 3-4 but need help at OLB, and they'd probably rather Abe than a second round pick. If we can get all these restructures done and get under the cap, it's something I'd consider, since Abe isn't coming back anyway.
Are you reading the part about his shredded knee? He really hurt himself bad last season, and you shouldn't give any pick for any injured player until it's proven he can be the player you think you are getting.
He has a 64.4 career completion percentage. He would have been the league MVP in 2004 if not for Manning's even more incredible season that year. He also put up very good (albeit reduced) numbers in 2004 when Randy was mostly hurt. Like Randy made Collins? If you have a tall WR who can outrun and outleap CBs, that's exactly where you want to throw the ball....high, although perhaps not as high as you appear to be. He lost his OC and Matt Birk and his #1 wideout in Nate Burleson. The O-line began the season performing like ours. The guy was sacked 31 times in 6 games (which also includes one quarter of play in his seventh and final game of this year). David Carr, who played behind what was generally regarded as the worst O-Line in the NFL was sacked 35 times in his first six games. Perhaps you don't want to hear about it but you might want to try opening your eyes once in a while...... Enough of the blah-de-frikkin-blah already. He threw 23 INTs (with Randy there) in 2002.
