Cornerbacks??? What about...Dre' Bly? I think we can all agree that we will be in need of a CB next year. How about Dre' Bly?
If they want something reasonable, then yeah, why not, i got an idea P.Ramsey-3rd rounder-future 2nd rounder for Dre Bly-4th rounder
also i believe his cap number for 2007 is around 5.5-6 million he was signed after the rams had their big runs, was over rated, and is over rated
i'll take him @ a good price....not that bad of a corner, prob the only bright spot on the lions.....
he gambles too much and also he isnt very big(he iis actually smaller than dyson. he isnt gonna come up and make a tackle in the run game.. i dont think he is a good fit for our defense. that being said he is in the top15-20 of cbs around the league so definetly he is a and definetly is a playmaker.
Dre bly was always an overrated player, he's a guy who would get his share of picks but was toasted more than he made good plays. He's not an upgrade over what we have at this point.
The Jets always made that mistake of taking a Corner' or a saftey in the later stages of thier careers and got nothing for it! PLus I think this guy has played that hermie cover two crap all of his career.
I've been a fan of Bly since his days in St. Louis, and when he was a free agent I would of loved to lure him in but Detroit got him... It's been echoed, he is a gambler, he does get burnt, but he's got speed and moves his hips well... Probably not an ideal fit, had his salary not been so high and Detroit not want a 1st day pick, i'd be very open to this.
Although they contended this year for the worst team in the league and they narrowly lost that is not true at all. There are a couple of players on the lions that we could use and they would be significant upgrades. Starting with the very position that has garnered the most attention this off season for the Jets. RB. Now I am saying this without taking into consideration the fact that Jones is injured. A healthy Jones is far and above any RB on our roster. WR. Roy Williams is an elite WR and as much as everyone loves Coles, and the upside that Cotchery brings to the table every GM in the league would take RW over any of our receivers. NT. Another position which is talked about a lot, somewhere we need an u[grade badly. Shaun Rogers is one of the best in the game no question about it and would be phenomenal on our line. He is exactly what we need, a massive run stuffer who plays with fire. Give Robertson four inches and 40-50 pounds and he is the same player as Rogers.
... you cant possibly be serious? something reasonable is 2 day 1 picks and our back up QB? I dOnT kNoW!!!!!!1111!!!!1!!1
