Top 5? No. Top 10? Nah. Probably Top 15. I don't want a 6-3 RB. Doesn't being too tall affect how a RB can run?
it has been said that we need a running back that can pound it between the tackles and also bounce runs outside and make defenders miss, isn't that exactly what this guy does...??
If we get one upgrade at RG and/or RT, I garuntee we have a hell of a RB in Leon Washington. If he can add a few pounds, I bet he could be a starter. He reminds me of Tiki Barber. He has that dangerous game-breaking ability. I really like Cedric Houston. He's a tough runner and fights for those extra yards. He's got good size (6-0 220ish) and solid speed. I really like these two guys. I really don't like Michael Bush... Just my opinion... I like those 2 guys we have. Gimme a deep threat or slot WR in the draft or free agency and an upgrade on the OL, and we're set.
Given we get a good Offensive Lineman or two and another talented WR somewhere, no. Leon has that big-time game-breaking ability. I don't want him to be forgotten. Half the time a Jet RB took a handoff, he got hit in the backfield it seemed. The offesnsive line was inconsistent blocking the run. Oh, and I'd love a blocking FB. (Not Askew).
How about Le'Ron McClain? If Cory Anderson is a big run blocker, than sure, why not. Or look toward free agency for a FB rather than banking on a rookie to come in. Does anyone know of any free agent FBs, because I don't...
I am also a huge McClain fan, and he is in every one one of my mock off-season things. I would LOVE McClain.
I would rather the Jets go after a defenisve player with the first round pick. I think we can fill the void on the right side of the line through Free agency. Lamar Woodley Tony Hunt Quinn Pitcock
3 Texas players selected in a row (Blalock, Griffin, and Ross) until I broke the chain with Rice for South Carolina!
Get Chris Houston instead. He seems like a good player and Jabba has great things to say about him. I'd be cool with him.
