The Denver Broncos select Leon Hall cornerback from the University of Michagan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmLf0ViXwps Had the 5-11, 194-pound Michigan Wolverines senior-to-be played somewhere other than the Big Ten last season, he most probably would have been all-conference as a defensive back. As it was, he found himself overshadowed by the Ohio State trio of Ashton Youboty, Donte Whitner and Nate Salley and wound up on the second team. But Youboty and Whitner are gone, and Hall's reputation as one of the most rugged and versatile corners in college football is growing. That's why he was recently named to the watch list for the Lott Trophy, to be presented to the defensive player making the "greatest impact" during 2006. Hall has been making an impact on opposing receivers and backs for three years now. In 2005, he had 61 tackles, four interceptions, two sacks (both against Notre Dame), five breakups and returned a fumble 83 yards for a touchdown against Northwestern. He also picked off Nebraska QB Zac Taylor twice during the Alamo Bowl. A graduate of Vista High School in San Diego, Hall was ranked No. 14 among cornerbacks by one recruiting service as a prep senior, and picked Michigan over the usual West Coast suitors. He has been clocked at 4.42 in the 40 and ran sprints and high-jumped for his high school track team, giving him "catchup speed" in coverage and the spring to overcome the several inches in height he often spots opposing pass catchers. FUCK!!!, i have the colts at 32, and people would say, INDY??? why??? i say because with a aging Harrison, and disappearing Stokley, inconsistent play by fletcher and moorehead, means that Wayne is gonna need help in the future, oh well, that would've been my pick
Wow, a lot of late steals here, first Hall then Ginn. Very surprising. Anyway, The Predator, you are OTC, I want to get to my pick(s)!
Kansas City Chiefs select Dewayne Bowe, wide reciever, LSU: They need some help along the line, as well as in the secondary and at quarterback since Trent Green is closing in on the end of his career. But there is no QB worth taking right here, and Revis and Hall were just taken a few picks earlier. So they opt to go with the hot ticket right now and take Bowe, whose stock has sky rocketed in the past week or two
The New York Jets select : Justin Blalock i know some of you might not like the pick, another lineman!, but i love it. it gives us possibly one of the best lines for the future. he will start from day one and help leon and company rush for mucho mas yards.
1. We have a discussion thread 2. DO NOT MENTION THE NAMES OF ANY UNTAKEN PLAYERS!!!! Eagles: NJJets OTC
And with the 26th pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the Dirty Birds from da North select... Michael Griffin, Safety, Texas
Great timing.... With the 27th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select... Aaron Ross CB, Texas A tough decision here between Ross and Chris Houston from Arkansas, but Ross had a hell of senior campaign and won the Jim Thorpe award. If anyone noticed the Saints' playoff games, you might see the need for a CB (Fred Thomas is awful). Mike McKenzie is getting older and I don't even know if the aging Jason Craft is on the team. This draft is coming along nicely.
With the 28th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the New England Patriots select: Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina The Patriots got their speed reciever last year in Chad Jackson, now they need their big possesion reciever, with Rice being 6-4. They have gotten rid of some talented WR this past year in Deion Branch and David Givens, and now they will start a new generation with Rice and Jackson as recievers to grow with Brady.
With the 29th Pick, the Ravens select: OG Ben Grubbs The o-line of the ravens is a mess, Ogden is getting old, so is Flynn and their tackle is going to test the FA waters, Grubbs is the best OL behind Blaylock.
