Since we were forced to see that arrogant smirking Shula with his fat beer gut hanging out and reaching the Lombardi trophy he was carrying... let's just remember back to how this 'legendary' coach blew a game where he was a 17+ point favorite to an undersized New York Jets team. Let's remember how he had Jon Unitas on the bench and let him rot there until it was too late for the colts to have a comeback and even though Earl Morrell couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in that game.

Ahhh. Yes. The legendary Don Shula.

    What a joke.

I always hated Shula, he was an underhanded fuck who was allowed to be on the NFL Competition Committee for way too long.

I agree totally. And that whole undefeated season toast thing is so petty and classless. Shula must have started it. What a bitter old weasel!!!!

I was in Tampa for business a few years ago and the hotel we stayed at had a Shula's Steakhouse in it. The boss offered to buy the 5 of us dinner at Shula's. I told him I wouldn't be joining them. When he asked why my response was no self respecting Jet fan would be caught dead in that scumbag's steakhouse. Being a fan of the Bills he decided it was best we all ate elsewhere .........

You should write a letter to the Jets about that story. That is loyalty!

Wow OJ...calling Shula a classless loser has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

I guess you're just jealous because Shula had success that you only dream of at night.

So what if they celebrate the fall of the last undefeated team every year. They did something that has NEVER been done since. Hell I'd be celebrating too.

It's one thing to celebrate... it's another to actively root against a team breaking it... which is what they clearly do...

If the Jets had gone undefeated instead of the Dolphins..I bet most if not all of you would be rooting right along with them. But no this is your hated division rival that does it, so of course it must be a scumbag move.

Take the green goggles off guys and look at this objectively.

You're comparing fans to players... It just doesn't look right when retired players root against records being broken... It's one thing to root for the team you played for to win... it's something else entirely when you root for a team you didn't play for to beat a team to secure a record... CLASSLESS...

People root for other teams they have no emotional involvement with at all to beat teams they need to lose.

Example..Near the Playoffs, wanting Cincy to get beat by a team not in our division so we'd have a chance to get in.

    Is that classless? No...

Classless would be going to the game and dousing the team that FINALLY lost with champagne and sticking it in their face.

They pop the cork after the first loss every year then you don't hear anything about it until the next season.

Are you honestly entertaining the notion that Jets fan give a single solitary sh!t about the Dolphins undefeated record??? That being said, it’s a great steak house. I go there all the time.

    Peace out.

    Again...

You're comparing winning a game to breaking a record... it's not even in the same ballpark...

    Is that classless? YES

And televising the popping of the cork isn't sticking it in anyones face?

I don't know what you're watching because I know I see them on TV every year right after the first loss...
