Would anyone else rate Darren McFadden a better prospect than Reggie Bush or Adrian Peterson? This guy is absolutely sick to watch. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1FCfZoPGEFA http://youtube.com/watch?v=XcssslTgHBQ&mode=related&search= He's not in this years draft, so this question has little relevance now. It's just suprising that I missed this guy last year when he might be the best college RB in a time with talents like Peterson and Bush.
There are few Running Backs that can be rated more highly than Bush when he came out. I'd put him over AP, because of his durability.
McFadden has a VERY good chance to be rated higher than Bush coming out. not guaranteeing it. but he has the playmaking speed and moves plus the size. hes a prototype in every sense. former qb so you know he has hands and presents a trick play option. in fact i think the Razorbacks have a very very legit shot at riding him to a national title this yr. and hes a heisman candidate as long as hes in the NCAA
The masses would rate him over Bush if he continues doing what he has been doing based on his size; he's 6'2" and maybe even faster than Bush if you can believe that! Hey, I called my shot on this guy when I saw his high school film after his junior year. Also, the 4.23 he ran at an Arkansas camp as a sophomore in high school was what piqued my interest to start with.
Size means too much to these so called experts. These were the same jokers who doubted whether Barry Sanders was legit after running for over 2,600 yards in one season. I hate experts! However, I do like open mindedness and people who had actually watched players instead of giving their opinion off of some one else's opinion.
Yes... And keep your eyes on Felix Jones too. These two guys might be better than the Brown/Williams combo at Auburn a few years back.
i would rate mcfadden higher the bush only because he plays every thing they have him line up shotgun and be the QB in games so he is more of a weapon
put it like this bush and mcfadden might be equal on speed from watching the video. bush is a little bit more shifty where he is in close traffice he will escape. mcfadden is a north and south runner with good power and is willing to make contact unlike where bush doesnt want too. mcfadden can handle the blows. he also has great vision and kinda knows when to cut back..
i rate McFadden higher than Bush. it's not so much that he lines up at QB in that Wildcat formation - he won't be used in this way in the NFL - but more so because he has more power than Bush has. they both can run routes and catch like #3/#4 WR's, and they both have top speed, shiftiness, etc. i think Bush is amazing, but i believe he relies on his speed too much -- trying to get to the outside, which consequently lends itself to negative yardage. McFadden also runs to the outside, but he runs just as well inside with power, running over and stiff-arming defenders; then he hits the next gear and he's gone. if i had the option of choosing either Bush or McFadden in a draft, i would dilberate for all of five seconds and choose McFadden. whomever gets him in two years is one lucky team. cheers
I have loved this guy since last year, he is amazing. I think he is the best all-around rb prospect since LT, Peterson this year is close, but has injury concerns. And Yea, watch out for his teamate Felix Jones. He is another real good back who will be noticed more next year.
McFadden & Ray Rice (Rutgers) are my two favorite prospects that could declare early for next years draft
RB's in todays NFL are way overhyped. YEST thats what I said, no need to read it again. The line makes the back, not the other way around. barry Sanders was a freak and before his time (when linebackers were 6'2 245 and could not run) Try to think of a back that has year in and year out put it togther without a line? having a hard time thinking of one? Lets break it down.. Buffalo- point taken Willis justkills us and is average at best against the rest Miami- Ronnie is good but not spectacular, same as their line NE- Dillen and Maroney are the classic Thunder and Lightning...Line is BIG NYJ- OK Next, our line needs some power at LG,RG, and RT Clev- Next...but with Jeff Faine and a healthy LeCharles could be a differnt ground game with Rebuan Pitt- Parker is fast and this year they had a down year on the O-line, but last year the line made that team Cinci- Rudi is good= avove average line, without it he would be a below avg back. Ten- Travis and Chris Brown, both had suspect years....very bad line AHHH shit this is getting too long....my point is Darren Mcfadden would be great, I would take him in a min. However, without a beast of a line we will always have a need for running back. just pony up and select the best RT, or RG, or LG avaliable. We have 2 of the 5 spots on lock down for 10 years, lets get the other three and we could be talking about Leon as the next great back?
Same here. Would love peoples thoughts on Rice, because personally I'm impressed. He's what you like to see in a 5'9 back, except maybe a step slower than expected. I never posted my opinion on McFadden, but I guess I made it obvious I rate him over either Bush or Peterson. He's one of the few taller backs I like, simply because that speed/power combo is ridiculous and perfect for his size. Considering Bush and and Peterson are considered "special" talents, wtf would McFadden be rated as? Only knock I really have on him is personal preference. I prefer RBs to be more compact, which is one thing LT is more than just about any big name RB in the game today, and part of the reason I think Turner is going to be damn good.
