How was Peyton MVP? Anyone could have handed the ball off as many times as he did and sat on the bench and watch his defense play defense. What a joke.
Final Score of Super Bowl XLI: 28-17 Colts WIN. When Hester started the game off with the run back, and then Peyton had that bad 1st Drive, I thought it was the Bears game to win. The game, as a whole, was okay, not exciting though. We will never hear the end of this, from a view of Peyton Manning. The guy deserves it, but he is going to be praised until the end of time. And with Peyton winning the MVP, I do not think he deserves it. I honestly think Dominic Rhodes should get it. It's his first 100 yard game since 2001, and he had a TD to boot. Whatever, at least Pitchers and Catchers is in a few days.....
Manning was good. Very solid. But Addai/Rhodes as a tandem carried the team. Manning was the MVP because of he's Peyton Manning not because he was worthy of the honor.
At least Dungy got his Super Bowl ring as a Coach now. He's a great coach, and eventually is getting into the H.O.F.
I agree.I thought the Bears had the opportunity to set the tone. The Colts were more physical.. Peyton was piercing them with the dink and dunks..and do I dare mention Grossman? THE WORST QB TO START IN THE HISTORY OF THE SUPER BOWL!!! Peyton did to his credit.. win the Super Bowl with the game against the Pats. It's going to be interesting to see a revamped Patriot team (2 1st round picks + 30 mil in cap room) the defending champ Colts, an emerging Jet team, an extremely talented Charger squad.. should be some exciting football in the future
This ends the whole "Tony Dungy can't win the big one" especially after Gruden won with his guys the year after he left. Kudos to Tony..
I have a question that I'm still confused about. When Lovie and the Bears challenged the Hayden Interception-Run Back, what were they challenging? I could have sworn I heard the ump say that the Bears are challenging that the Colts player did NOT go out of bounds, and I sat on the couch saying "WTF?" Did the ump just make a mistake, or am I missing something?
No, He said it correctly. - The Player did NOT go out was the Call on the field. - Chi Challenged that so IOW, Chi is challenging that the Player did NOT go out. Get it? C'mon churn that brain power up a lil bit
How is was the challenge allowed to review 12-men on the field? Isn't that effectively challenging an uncalled penalty. Couldn't teams then start challenging uncalled delay of game penalites because the game clock is readily viewable?
I think a big part of it was also that there was no single person who was the obvious choice. What would have been overwhelmingly the correct choice was Addai and Rhodes being co-MVPs, but that wasn't going to happen. Manning had about 230 yards passing midway through the 3rd quarter, but did absolutely nothing after that (2/6 for 19 yards, plus an 8 yard loss from a sack).
Before Chicago threw the Reg Flag, wasn't the ruling on the field that Hayden DID NOT step out, and that it was TD. Therefore, Chicago would be challenging to make sure he WASN'T OUT? Maybe it's past my bed time that I'm not understand this
LMAO> You guys must've been drunk! Right , the ruling on the field that Hayden DID NOT step out. Like you said so, Chicago challenged that ruling that He DID NOT step out. GET IT? That's what they're challenging. That He DID NOT Step out because they think he did....
