Ok, I've got a pretty stupid observation/question. For whatever reason, as a kid I was always obsessed with who wore what jersey in the SuperBowl. As I watched each Superbowl over the years, I think i noticed that it just was alternating each year from AFC to NFC to regarding who was the "home" team and got the Jersey choice. I think the Bears 85 Super Bowl cued me in to the pattern, they had the best record in football, yet they wore white and the Patriots, a wild card team had their home jersey on.....when i looked at the SB's prior and followng the pattern was evident.... however, i guess the NFL changed that as last year the Seahawks had the home jersey's on and was the home team, and this year same situation with the Bears.... is it best record now.anyone know?? silly I know....
don't think so, Indy had the Whites on during Media Day.and Bears had their home uni's on.... what they wear on Media Day is what they're wearing during the game.... another silly thing I've picked up over the years
Thank you! I looked everywhere for that. Now I remember the hub bub about them choosing to wear white because of the 4 away play off games.
The home team gets their choice of jersey and yes Chi is the home tam this year. Last year Pitt chose to wear white since their 3 playoff wins came w/ white on, in the past teams like Dal and Wash chose to wear white since they always do at home.
I remember last year hoping the Steelers would decide to wear white given their run to the Super Bowl on the road. File me as one of the superstitious ones
