...well it's 6 right now. If we go quick I'll reduce it.

And to answer dwalsh from the other thread, you're in the draft so you can't be an alternate.

To play Devils advocate, some tackles can play both positions,I'd allow players to draft whoever they want and let the judges decide if it as a good move.

I probably would of went with Manning if I had the first pick.Smartest QB in the game who can basicly keep the safeties deep by himself,Murrell not only got a QB but got a head start on the running game.

I expected the top 3 and in that order, but I personally would have went LT over Manning at #1 Overall. He's such a dynamic weapon in all areas of the game, and at his age and durability level there isn't a single flaw in his game. But, all picks so far have been great, and I'm hoping one of two guys falls to me three picks from now.

The 2 comes into effect when a person has missed two or more selections.

Here's an official rules list (of everything that has been listed in previous posts)

    -6 hour clock
-Clock does not count from 12 AM to 8 AM ET (gotta let people sleep)
-Draft order snaked (1-20 in odds, 20-1 in evens) and will be decided randomly when the 20 spots are full (I'll need the help of 2 others to do it)
-Pick all 24 starting positions (unless it's going well, then we'll do more)
-Can use a 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE or 1 RB, 2 WR, 2 TE set, and a 4-3 and 3-4 defense (anything else may not be realistic, but if you want something else don't be afraid to ask the other 19 members if it's allowed)
-Pick players based on how they are today, and look at their potential for next year as well as many, many years from now. Take durability and injury-prone players into account
-Players that did not play in '06 due to injury are eligible

MISSED PICKS: If someone misses a pick, they will be able to select as soon as they come on the board. If someone has 2 or more picks missed and is OTC again, they will only have 2 hours to select (the "Stop Holding Up the Damn Draft" law)

CAN'T BE HERE FOR A PICK? Either send me a draft board or someone else that you know will be on. There's no guarantees that I'll be online at the time, so I'd suggest trying to find someone that's going to be, whether it's me or not.

TRADING DURING OR AFTER DRAFT: Nope. Once you draft a player, you're stuck with him. Live with it. I will also try and crack down on people swapping picks after them and there will be very few exceptions. So, think twice before you press that reply button.

SELECTING BACKUPS:You MUST fill your 24-man starting lineup before selecting any backup players (if we're even doing them). No taking Peyton Manning, and then saying "Favre is good value in Round 19, so I'll take him away from someone." Maybe I'll allow it, but if I do then prepare to play one of the two at WR or S.

I was tossing between Tomlinson and Manning. ultimately the reason why I went Manning is because I feel I can still get a decent RB with my #40 pick but only a middle of the road QB. QB is more important IMO than RB.

That is true, but don't be surprised if there'll be a decent both there at 40... once the top tier of QBs is gone, there is 8-12 guys that are very close to each other in ability, so I personally (others may disagree) won't take a QB in the 2nd when I can get one just a little worse in the 5th and a defensive stud in the 2nd.

Don't forget to update the roster thread, and try to keep comments on the draft in this one per DITK's request.

    Thanks Murrell.

I'm a little surprised with the QB-rage early... and quite frankly I'm happy it's happening. Allowed who, IMO, is arguably the top defensive player in the game (arguable with Champ Bailey and one more guy undrafted) and is by far the youngest of the 3 to fall into my lap.

It might be worthwhile to pm a mod and ask them to delete the comments in the pick thread.

WhiteShoeWillie has added himself as the 2nd alternate, just incase someone drops out.

Btw, the draft clock does not technically start until Monday (so everyone has fair warning), so all we can do is PM ChadManCan, which I already did.

I want to petition for a rule - if someone misses say 4 or 5 picks in a row, I think they should forfeit their positions in the draft (pending there are people waiting in the wings). Thoughts?

Alright guys I'm bored... best and worst picks of the draft, IMO, so far.

Best: Larry Fitzgerald. One of three guys I considered at my pick, but he'll be jumped over as soon as the third guy I considered is taken.

Worst: Mark Bulger. Tough one here, but Bulger has an incredible amount of weapons in St. Louis, who I can't discuss due to the fact they have not been drafted. He has been prone to injury, is a statue, has so-so arm strength, and played in a QB-friendly offense up until last year. But even last year, Linehan ran an offense that was QB-friendly. But like I said, 9 picks into this thing it's physically impossible to screw up, but Bulger is the only pick I didn't like with many young studs that are the best at their position, including Larry Fitzgerald, still on the board.
