    25. N.Y. Jets (10-6)

Projected pick: Tank Tyler, DT, NC State
Tyler is a bit overrated, but at 323 pounds he could be the Jets' answer at nose tackle.

Interesting how McShay gives Tyler 13 pounds more than SI. Kind of a big difference there considering the position.

Overrated or not he certainly a hole plugger maybe even a 2 gap. With time and getting on the pros nutrional programme he will add bulk , I see him being about 340-50lbs.
I wouldn't be ecstatic about the pick , but it may help.

At DT we will have C.J.Mosley, Dewayne Robertson, Zarnell Fitch, Vaka Manupuna, Keyonta Marshall, Matt McChesney and Sione Pouha , so its not like we havn't got any competition there

I like Tank because we can move Dewayne to DE.

    Dewayne - Tank - Ellis

    sounds like a solid line

That SI mock draft was whack. Tank weighed in at the Senior Bowl at 6'2", 323 pounds. (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/seniorbowl/reports/weighin.html

I think he would be a good pick. He's been described as very strong yet quick despite his weight, and has a good ability to drive blockers backward. But he has off-the-field issues that probably will keep Mangini from taking him if he does fall to us...

I'm not familiar with Tank at all, at least not his off-field life. What issues did he have while he was at NC State? The only problem that I can see is that he got stuck with a lame nick name when his given name, DeMarcus, is about 10 times cooler than "Tank". All joking aside though, I hope he doesn't take after any other players who go by that name.

He has a pretty bad attitude and is generally a prick. Refuses to shake hands with other teams players and I'm pretty sure he spit at someone at a game. Then add in some misdemeanor charges of assualt against a police officer, some drunk and disorderly conduct, and I highly doubt we draft him.

It appears Tank Tyler is doing a tumble, and he's out of first round consideration

This is what I was told by a very reliable source .. he called Tyler a fat slob

Hopefully he does fall like Gabe Watson did last year. He's a beast, and a little discipline and training at the NFL level can take him a long way.

I agree. It's too bad the guy's a douche, because his physical ability would work perfectly on this team. Then again, if he really did go 100% each play, he'd probably be top-15 material.
