With the cap room that we have available, how about a nice little reunion for Chad and Randy? Moss and Coles as the #1 and #2 receivers with Cotch as the 3rd. Combine that with Michael Turner and Leon and we'll have one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Think about it!

I thought the Jets were going to trade for Terrel Owens but Moss would be cool too.

A reunion of a speed WR for Chad's noodle arm? No thanks.

If you're going to knock the idea, at least give us an explanation.

I wouldn't mind Moss. I'd say he'd make it work with Chad.

Fair enough, here are a few of them:

    1. Team chemistry- Mangini is all about hard working team players. Randy Moss is not a team player or a hard worker. He has stated that he gives up on plays and that has been evident the last few years even if he didn't outright say so.

    2. Wr depth- We have a solid group of wr's on this team. We realized what we have in Cotch this year with the handcuffs being removed. Then we have Coles, Smith and Dwight. That is not a bad group of receivers at all.

    3. Cost to get him- The Raiders would almost surely want some type of first day pick and we really can't afford to be giving them out because we don't have that luxury. Getting Moss would be a want (see reason 2) and we have needs.

    4. He's not that good anymore

Touche. However, I'd give up on plays if I were on that Oakland team, too. He's still solid enough to help take this team to new heights offensively even with the corps we currently have. Also, I don't think Oakland would be glad if we'd take him off their hands.

If we can get him for cheap, why the hell not?

There go our first two draft picks for a wr entering his 30s and a HB who may very well be an overglorified/soon-to-be overpaid backup.

Be honest, are you Terry Bradway?

Seriously, you guys don't get tired of talking about Moss every offseason??

H'mm do you think CP can reach him so we can fully use what talents Randy may have these days? He could not reach Santana as a example

Moss or any fast WR that we may draft will have to be excellent at "comeback routes".

Like this hasnt been posted a million times already. Why do jets fan have a need for the most high priced WR every off season?? This will NEVER HAPPEN!! He will want way to much and WR is NOT a need in fact it one of or strongest areas. At most we draft a 2nd WR

I've been a huge supporter of Randy Moss coming here in the past... not anymore. He's finished... or at least the player we once saw is finished.

    1,3,and 4...dead on

as far as depth, cotchery, coles, and brad smith aren't exactly depth...i'm not so sure j-mac and dwight will be back this year, and i would expect more from brad smith

    Take a note of this:

During the game against Green Bay, Chad threw a bomb, deep to the right sideline. Of course, since this was supposed to be a big-play, J-Mac outruns Woodson, but then fails to adjust to the ball, which was UNDERTHROWN even with all the time and zip Chad could possibly have. End result is INT.

Now, What makes you think Chad will be able to send the ball deeper with Moss running down the sideline? It's not the WR that's limiting. It's the arm strength of Chad.
