    In all seriousness, F cancer. Some of my earliest Jets memories were of Browning Nagle. Rocket for an arm. RIP

    I didn't realize Jets drafted him one pick after the Falcons picked Brett Farve. Ouch.

    57 is too young :(

    The Jets GM was Steinberg. He wanted Favre. He tried to trade ahead of Atlanta with the Cardinals but they wouldn’t budge because they thought Steinberg was bluffing about Favre and was trying to pick the player (forgot who) they wanted. Unfortunate.

    Of course Atlanta turned out to be the real fools trading Favre away for a first round pick just a year later …

    Jesus, that is young. I remember before the 1992 season there were quite a few people picking the Jets as a Super Bowl contender because Nagle was going to be such a star… didn’t work out that way, sadly.

    Definitely. I had a Falcons fan roommate in college, who during the Chris Chandler years, would lament Atlanta giving up on Brett after only one year and imagined what if?

    I gotta believe Falcons front office thought highly of themselves flipping a second for a first a year after seeing Favre struggle on the feild and off (didn't he go to rehab for pills? Or was that later?)

    Little did they know ....:eek:

    It was Ron Wolf who wanted Farve, he begged Jets to take him and they tried to.


    Ron Wolf went to Green Bay as GM and traded for Brett Farve, rest is history.

    I still thought Nagle was going to be special, and it just did not work out.

    Wait, you're talking how . . . ? o_O

    I'm kidding. RIP. My Mom died of colon cancer. Colon cancer is so curable if caught early, so it's amazing how many people still die from it. I worked with someone who died from it at 36 years old. Ugh.

    My condolences to everyone on here. There isn't anyone on earth who hasn't lost someone to the scourge of cancer. Strength to anyone going through it.

    He threw the ball so hard it would bounce off receivers' hands and chests. Not sure why that couldn't be coached out (?), but his confidence waned and it kept spiraling. I don't even know why I asked such a question. It's because Jets. Duh.
