Not that I give a shit about what the Geneva Conventions say, but ... Article 52(2): "Attacks shall be limited strictly to military objectives. In so far as objects are concerned, military objectives are limited to those objects which by their nature, location, purpose or use make an effective contribution to military action and whose total or partial destruction, capture or neutralization, in the circumstances ruling at the time, offers a definite military advantage."
So if an enemy ever takes out our energy infrastructure via a cyber attack, i guess it wouldn’t effect the public as much as military and we wouldnt consider a war crime
Maybe like when they mocked up military war planes in Venezuela to attack civilian watercraft. That felt a bit war crimey. And one of my many complaints is that this administration continuously puts horribly unqualified people into high positions of power simply because they are corruptible and will do whatever he says, even if it's illegal.
