It's funny, because a lot of times the trash publications are right. They don't care about being a trash publication, because that's the purpose they serve: shoveling trash. They also make no claims to journalistuc standards, nor do they have to uphold any such thing. I'm going somewhere with this. Journalism is dead. It's not journalism, it's agenda. When I see some slop on the cover of a tabloid when I'm on line at the supermarket that says something like, I don't know, Bill Clinton used the same tunnels underneath the White House as JFK to ferry strippers in and out the Oval Office, I find myself saying, "How salacious. Not for that guy. I can totally buy that." Right next to it is The New York Times. I skim the headlines, feel my brows knitting, dismiss more than half of it as opnion, not facts, and decide I'm more concerned about whether I'm going to get the sale price on blueberries. I take out $10 bucks and muse that Meghan Markle probably really did tell the Queen to drop dead back in the day.

Wow, the guy went from having a foot out the door, even considering retiring last year, to 3 more years. I wonder if this will just be one of those cut him after the first year things.
