This is too good. Just another step in ensuring that #1 pick I guess.

Of all the miserable fucks in this fanbase you have to be the most miserable. What an existence.

Englighten us. How does signing someone who grades out to be an average starter to a one year deal offend you and further 15 years of anger that you just can’t keep inside any longer.

Not naive at all, would shock me if they didn't considering he had 1st hand knowledge.

Eh maybe. A guard shouldn’t be giving up many sacks though, bad situation or not.

Didn't they sign that Cincinnati kicker, McPherson, or did I mis-read?

I don’t think he’s gonna come in and wow us. I think at worst he’s Simpson, at best he’s average. I think playing next to Olu is gonna help. Simpson was just brutal… Gave up as many sacks, more pressures and double the penalties (10). And the OL still fared well with a horrendous QB situation. So if he can just be average while we develop a hopefully draft pick, mission accomplished.

Interesting. Rosenblatt tweeted that Wentz isn’t expected to sign with us. That’s great news.

I’m chalking this up as a depth signing. My gut tells me the starting LG will be either #16 or #33….

Hughes reported the plan is to start him at LG. One year, $7.5 mil reads more like a starter deal than a depth deal.

Different Cincinnati(2024 when McPherson was hurt) kicker, Cade York.

He's bounced around a lot in his short career.

They had to sign a vet the hole at LG is gaping they didn’t have a body. There’s also never a guarantee a team will get the particular player they want at a position. But if the Penn St guard is sitting there at #16 - and that’s a big if - I can’t see them not drafting him. Either that or they grab the Oregon guard at 33 if he’s there. But I’ve read/ heard in a couple of places they are high on both. But Hughes is right - as of now Parham is definitely the starter.

I’d personally be pretty bummed if we spent yet another first round pick on offensive line, and again on an interior lineman, when we have a starting caliber one available to us and every team can find starters on day two and three at that position.

Well we’ll have to see what happens. We know #2 is going edge. I assumed #16 would be WR particularly Lemon but if he’s gone do they flip to another position, trade down, or take BPA? They are really high on the Penn St according to reports but then again maybe that’s a smoke signal to divert their real intentions of taking a WR.

Or maybe they take the Oregon guard at #33 at the top of round 2. Cheaper contract and they kind of reset themselves at the position financially ….

Personally I see them taking the edge, a WR, an IOL, and a LB (inside) with those picks as currently situated.

Pretty reasonable. Only caveat, if they make one splash in free agency for a then
WR will not be a first round pick, and may be not even second round.

I hate that we ignore WR so often…and it’s been true for a long time for us…and when we have some good ones we find rationalizations to let them go…happened with Keyshawn, Santana Moss, Laveraneous Coles…probably some more that I’m forgetting…

..and you are on the wrong side of the right outlook with players and this team, more times than I can fucking fathom. If you don't like it, block me.

You act like I should respect your other worldly football knowledge.. Holy shit guy, I'm allowed to not be happy with a move and express it. I'm not a bootlicker and like to think for myself, crazy thing.

    To the point.

You guys have been putting the Raiders OL on blast for days now, but now we are good with finding a starter from that very OL? Make it make sense.

Now that he is a NYJ though, I'm sure he was the only capable starter they had last year, and we just happened to secure him. Right?

It's amazing how dumb these conversations can get, this is logical thinking. For me anyway.

Not sure how you spin this now, knowing you, you'll find something to excuse it away. Can't wait.

The Jets need at least 2 WR so even if they were to pick one up in FA that’s not going to stop them from drafting one high. Lemon/Washington in the #16 vicinity and perhaps Surratt or Fields in the second round….

Dynami Brown wouldn’t be a bad depth add. Thin deep threat that got a decent sized deal from Jacksonville and then got buried in a good WR room.

There’s nothing else really out there receiver wise barring a trade at this point.

Parham is a sufficient level starter and is young, it’s a good signing. He showed a lot of promise in his rookie year and then didn’t do as well from there. That raiders line is terrible and they’ve had bad everything. There is upside here.
