I like Sabo a lot and also Joe Blewitt for JetX as well, but I feel this article even with some film, is a collection of low lights and not representative of the overall film. Blewitt put up a lot more plays that did include some of these, but also included some really great things in both pass and run game. Sabo is not perfect though, he makes his share of mistakes like everyone else (he was really impressed with Brady Cook for example) and this was not Sabo's best work.

Like you said, it does highlight some concerns we all had, which is why there isn't an obvious #2 like in other drafts. But not to the extent he made it out to be. Blewitt still had him as top 5 with a lot of tape to back up, which is more accurate than not top 10 at all, even if you do not think he is #2.

I’ve been watching a lot of Ohio st to see Reese, Downs and Styles.

It’s going to be real tough to pass on Styles he is so smooth and closes gaps so quickly. Reese is explosive and makes wow plays. Downs is all over the field and has a nose for the football.

    McNeil-Warren is a baller. If he’s there at 33 I think that’s a no brainer.

I really think he isn’t even the best player on his own Defense. But I guess the high ceiling is the reason. I hope we trade back and then take Styles or Downs

Consistently Reese was not their best player. It was Downs. Styles was just a steady reliable player on film. Reese has the wow plays so I can see why some scouts are drooling over him. Personally I prefer Bailey.

I wonder if a trade down from 2 to take Mauigoa or Tate/best available receiver is in play. Then they take the consolation prize edge that’s left at 16 whomever that may be.

The elite MAC defensive players taken high in the draft have generally played dividends too. EMC’s range pops on tape. He’s the type of safety that forces turnovers at the next level.

But who's moving up? And for whom?

It seems the hotest name right now in the rumor mill is Love.

But who trades up this high for anything other than a QB (not happening here), cornerstone LT or Myles Garrett type edge rusher?

I hate that there is no absolute obvious pick here at #2, and it's the Jets pick.

I did this after the combine too - watched a lot of Styles and Reese back to back. Styles is a very fluid, loose athlete. The thing that stuck out to me the most though was how much stronger Reese plays than Styles. Styles kind of bounces off of guys when making tackles. He takes slightly suboptimal angles and kind of tackles around guys rather than through them. Reese on the other hand stonewalls guys when he hits them, but not at the expense of technique which I like.

No idea. But I don’t think anyone saw the Travis Hunter trade up last year or Will Anderson trade up from a couple years ago coming.

I don’t think it’s going to happen to be honest. But maybe Saleh wants to go get the dream edge rushing prospect he’s always wanted?

Our problem is that I don’t think there’s much of a gap between Bain, Reese and Bailey. And I think there are another 3-4 that might make it into the rest of the first round.

Good point. Can't believe I forgot about Hunter, it was only last year.

Reese has that raw athletic talent and has such great length. He’s also strong like a bull. He truly is a joker on D. Patricia did an excellent job with his talent. My biggest concern is his position. He for me is a 3-4 OLB or a Will/Sam LB in a 4-3. Now he has room to put weight on his frame and I could see him getting to 255LBs. If he gets there he could be a 4-3 DE. He also needs to come up with better rush moves. He uses speed rush or off a blitz as a 5th rusher on most of his sacks.

Ya I really like him. The dude is also just a bully out there in the run game and covers a ton of ground in the pass game. He’d be a nice complement to Fitzpatrick.

I known none of the details but the Reese narrative scares me. Even if he were guaranteed to be the next Parsons keep in mind parsons was dispensable enough to be traded.

we have to be certain w our pick or else trade back

Emmanuel Pregnon OG Oregon is a name to watch in the second round. Dude is super strong. played in 51 games and over 3,100 snaps. Plug and play LG for a decade.

As our LG situation looks bleaker and bleaker I do worry that we’re going to be forced to take IOL at 16 and the entire league is gonna know it. If Iaone is there, someone is gonna jump us for him or hold us ransom and make us trade up. This offseason has been a B+, the only thing keeping it from an A- is that LG spot. Now we’re forced to address it in a way that alters the “BPA” plan we could have easily gone with.

Considering that he's only 20 years old, I think it's a safe assumption that he adds ten or fifteen pounds as he matures and plays at 255-260lbs. He's already incredibly strong. I can only imagine where he'd be at that size.

It needs to be addressed but not necessarily at #16. There are 3 good second round IOL prospects: Emanuel Pregnon - Oregon (my favorite), Keylan Rutledge - GT, and Chase Bisontis - Texas AM (local guy. Don Boscoe Prep)

No one knows how the board will fall, but I bet one of those guys will be there at #44.
