My Justin Fields comparison was solely on, he is already technically here. Neither are the savior of this team at this point. Geno is worse on the optics, but we shall see.. I gotta stop at this point. It's just a brain dead move, at the end of the day, this season is going to be shit. This FO and CS will likely set us back again, and we will be doing the same shit we do five years from now, I'm just fed up man. Literally. It's just inexcusable to me at this point.
Y’all complain about everything it’s crazy. We had a dude throwing for 40 yards some games last year. We now get a much better option to bridge for a year and continue the “ March for Arch” while still improving the overall roster I swear some of yall just want to be miserable. Who was going to come here and you would have not complained? Nobody cause the market sucks and we are trying to at least put out a team that can be decent and compete instead of losing by 30 every game. 3 first rounders next year we will be better once we find our QB. Ik it’s hard to trust the process but damn man yall don’t like shyt ever
Motherfucker.. You know if I really wanted to, I'd give you a logical convo, with facts. Look at my history, I usually come with all the above. I'm just choosing not to waste my time. Play your high horse routine though, get it in. All good.
I hate to pull the “u mad?” routine but Jesus man. I fear for your blood pressure. It’s football, and what happened is nowhere near as devastating as you’re making it out to be. You know god damn well this isn’t true first off, and second any logical convo would involve a ton of reasons WHY he was “the worst”
Now you are my therapist, or? It was true. "worst qb in the nfl 2025 season" Put that in your google bar.. then go down that rabbit hole. Try again. So if the strategy is to secure the #1 pick in the draft like he did for the Raiders. Then maybe I can get behind that argument. Otherwise, you are fooling yourself.
Definitely an upgrade and sets a floor. Let’s not assume this is the last play via trade or draft a lot of things can happen still
You said smacked in the mouth! You said smacked in the mouth! Look at that! I get to use this picture twice in one day!
Levis, Trubiski, McKee, lots of younger guys with upside I would have liked more. Cousins, Murray, Carr, lots of Vets that I believe are better QBs. We get Geno Smith, I hated him when he was a Jet and don't feel any better about him now. He was flipping fans off last year with the Raiders, he's still a POS. Glad I punted on this season already and nobody on here or in the Jets PR squad is going to convince me this isn't meant to be a wasted season so Woody can save some money on Glenn's contract. Next year they will clean house including Moug and this nightmare window of my football life can finally be over. Absolutely disgusted by this franchise, worst one in all of professional sports.
Is Coach going to hand him the keys to the franchise like he did with that bum Fields? He's the unquestioned starter going into the season? The rookie QB(s) have no shot to win the starting job in week 1?
I think they also sign Wentz and have them compete. No rookie, including Ty Simpson will start at the beginning of the season.
Nice quote here off Zack Rosenblatt's account: Geno Smith to @JosinaAnderson on rejoining the Jets: "I'm so excited. It's a full circle moment for me. I can remember my last TD was to Quincy Enunwa right there at MetLife Stadium, the day I tore my ACL. That began my journey and it all led me back here where I started ... coach Glenn and I have been on the phone, he has a real plan. I believe in what they're doing over there. Just to be a part of that is going to be special." "It's kind of like a movie script. I don't think Geno is not as bad as what happened with Vegas last year. He's been a solid NFL QB in recent years and is about as good we can do in a year that's clearly about some sort of culture-building and a bridge to getting our QB in 2027.
The Raiders have absolutely transformed their roster in a few days. Adding all these pieces to the ultra talented Bowers and promising Jeanty. Now they draft Mendoza and look out. I never thought I'd see it but damn. They sign a very good LB in Nakobe Dean for $12M per year and the Jets sign an old, aging, regressing Demario Davis for $11M per year? AYFKM? Yeah Dean is getting more guaranteed money but for almost the exact same AAV contract that's insane and the Jets look small-time. Let this be a case study in two putrid franchises. The Raiders, thanks in large part to Tom Brady's ownership involvement, are trying to leave the ranks of the horrid and establish a new, winning identity. So far they're doing an outstanding job of it with these moves. Hate to break it to some of you but the Jets are in big trouble. They are getting leftovers and trying to sell it as a 5 star steak. Mougey better ace the draft. Need to see more and better results out of him. He's meh so far.
This is what the Raiders do every 3-4 years. Terrible, spend a ton, make a big trade, terrible, spend a ton, make a big trade. Only this time they’ll ruin a first overall pick in the process.
