I expect a QB signing or two anytime now. Otherwise, WR depth would be ideal though it seems like they're a lock to take one at either 16 or 33 so I'm not worried that they haven't signed anybody. Isaiah Williams is probably at worst a top 5 WR on this team and maybe higher. AD Mitchell is definitely a top 3 or 4. LG is the biggest glaring need and also some IOL depth.
A little bit disappointed they didn’t take a swing at Quay Walker. I get they don’t want too much money sunk into LB if he and Sherwood don’t work out together but he’s a damn good player especially as a thumper in a 3-4.
Rosenblatt thinks the asking price for BTJ is 44. I do that for sure. Quinnen for BTJ and a first round pick… no one would say no to that.
I don’t know specific names, but I didn’t know any of these DL we signed either, but I think we should be looking at OG and WR…even under the radar guys like Mougey did for DL. We need those positions big time now that we lost both Simpson and looks like AVT. Still time for all that, and not saying I wanted to blow huge money on big name guys, but would like to see some bodies in here. Metchie is gone and Mitchell is not a starter in this league…we need help there for sure. Can come in the draft, and I hope it does, but would love to see a body or two there before the draft.
Agree with this, other than I think you may be valuing Mitchell more than I do…dude dropped like half the balls that hit his hands, he is NOT a WR3 unless he improves there by A LOT. I actually like Williams ok as a WR4/WR5/KR guy
Played 43 games. Missed 42 games. Had the nerve to be upset with the team. Goes to the Pats. What a turd, wish nothing but the worst for him
Belton is a sneaky good signing. He's a guy I was hoping the Bills could get cheaply. That's who you want to sign in a rebuild.
No, he is UFA. We have no way to control him. Possibly a comp pick eventually, depending on how many we end up signing and how many guys leave that factor into the comp pick formula. Yeah, this really sucks. Let's hope he continues to play for them at the same rate he did for us.
Not sure if it was reported, but we got a safety from the Giants, Dane Belton for relatively cheap, under 6 mil, not sure exactly how much guaranteed: https://x.com/RichCimini/status/2031148174820151597 Started 9 games last year, 25 years old, originally a 4th round pick.
3/44 for AVT. Imagine if we signed him to that deal? We’d get roasted. I didn’t even want him back. I would’ve even been fine with him signing with New England if he didn’t apparently tell people he needed a change of scenery. How the hell do you miss almost 50% of your career games and blame the scenery? Oh well… I guess Reese has to steamroll you into oblivion now.
Mitchell in my eyes is a solid #4. The Jets really need to add 2 WR in my opinion. One will be within the first 4 picks in April. Another should be signed this week....
I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back Metchie on a cheap deal. They didn't tender him but that could also judt be because they didn't think he was worth that minimum amount to do (3.5m I believe). Still could be somewhat underwhelming depth but I'm expecting some spots they'll skimp at. And I could live with it if they prioritize WR high in the draft. Or maybe they double dip with a top pick WR and then an early Day 3
Where the hell does Cousins go? Miami has Willis Minnesota will have Kyler Arizona says Brissett is starting Cleveland seems all in on Shadeur Maybe Indy and banks on being too good to bench when Jones is ready in November? If he wants to start he might have to play here but I don’t even know if we’ll be reaching out.
