I don't have it in me to feel bad about this kid's health. I don't root for it, but if you are in as bad of shape as he's in and you're choosing to keep playing despite being generationally wealthy, you deserve whatever happens to you. I care more about how shitty of a QB he is and how much that will stunt the ability to evaluate the offensive staff and players.

As a bridge starter, I think Mariota or Trubisky would be a good option for this team. They're both solid quarterbacks that won't be expensive and are capable of winning games.
I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more of these late round pick trades. It works out well for a team like the Jets who will struggle to bring players in, but have a lot of money and late round draft picks.
