Y'all really out here betting the Jets will get a better result by drafting and developing a QB.

Oh, my mistake. I have been hearing all about how they'll all be gone half way through the season.

Noo...Perhaps the original staff, but Glenn brought in seasoned pros.. They'll get a mulligan if things don't spiral.

I truly hope this is the case. I really like Aaron Glenn and I hope he can become the best coach in the league -- I haven't seen a lot yet to justify that hope, so it's just hope. I don't know if that leaves me much margin to hope the NY Jets organization can develop a QB prospect, though.

CJ can progress at a place like San Francisco and even Minnesota like Darnold did

but frankly, he needs the crème de la crème of quarterback coaching

He’s not coming to the Jets
    Sorry

Why do you like Glenn? Serious question, not trying to be a dick here.

Apart from how I loved him as a PLAYER here, I’ve absolutely HATED him as an HC. I think he’s in the conversation alongside Kotite and Gase for being one of the WORST HC’s we’ve ever had, and with our shit list of HC’s, that’s saying something.

So while I get the love for the player, I don’t get why that should translate to giving him the benefit of the doubt as our HC…

I know you said it’s really just HOPE, which I think we all have (since we can’t actually fire him ourselves, we just have to hope that he gets better), but what have you seen that you like?

Personally, I think his choice of asst coaches was ass (seems better at least on offense now with Reich…no clue on this newbie DC but I guess it doesn’t matter much because essentially Glenn is going to be the DC), I think his in game management was terrible, I think his arrogant attitude when he’s been asked honestly good questions about players, or game plans, or whatever, his platitudes without ANY real backup (“trust me”, “our brand of football”, etc.), I think his handpicked choice at QB was terrible, I think the way he pissed off on Wilks and “it was HIS defense” bullshit when he’s the HC and actually has the DUTY, let alone the RIGHT, to go in and demand changes…I think all of that was bottom barrel for an HC. I think I saw previously good and great players regress, I think it feels like he lost the lockerroom early in the year, etc.

Honestly, I didn’t see anything that I could hang my hat on to say ok, it was a rough year, but the roster sucked and he deserves another shot. No way. I think the roster was not as bad as we showed in many areas, and I think his coaching was a huge part of our issues.

But I genuinely curious if you have seen other things that give you hope?
