If this guy can make Shadeur Sanders a pro bowl QB imagine what he can do with Justin Fields.

I’m starting to feel the same, at least on the offensive side…

He has a 49ers pedigree which is a good sign. Hoping for the best.

Solid Hire and now instead of unproven rookies, we have an experienced O staff... maybe the strength of the team, certainly form a coaching perspective.

LOL. You are forgetting Justin Fields was invited to Pro Bowl too under tutelage of QB guru Charles London.

But seriously though, of course we cannot credit him with great QB development last year, but he had nothing to work with. Flacco traded, two mid round rookies to play with. Compared to Fields and Taylor, who were actually considered borderline starter/good back-up level players, who played and did decent before, there should not have been an expectation for these mid round rookies to play at all.

Musgrave is not some amazing QB guru, but he is a professional QB coach, had generally successful career, worked with good QB, developed good QBs, and also could not do much when he was given likes of Sanders or Simien. I guess anyone would be a massive upgrade over London, and Bill is definitely that too. Solid hire if you ask me. After having passing coordinator and assistant QB coach as 30 year olds, it makes sense to compliment them with a season veteran as a QB coach.

Nice to have both QB Coach and assistant as well as OC actually play QB in the past, and not RB. I actually think this group could develop a young QB too. It's just too bad when we finally seem to have QB friendly staff, we don't have a way of getting a good young QB.

Yeah I was just poking fun. He’s a decent coach, about the best we could expect at this point so no complaints.

Bah. Musgrave and Flacco - the Necco wafer and Smarties of coaches. Talk yourself blue in the face. Easier just to embrace the suck.
