Sorry, Walker had a good game, but there's no way he was the reason they won the game. Congratulations, Sam, but you were just along for the ride.
Agreed. Seattle MVP was their defense as a whole, but the trophy goes to one player. Walker impacted the game more than Darnold, thus the nod.
Bittersweet seeing Sam Darnold win the super bowl and Myers kick field goals like a beast. Former Jets who won it all, their defense was special and Pats looked awful Drake Maye was playing like he was the one seeing ghosts out there. Congrats to Seahawks and their fans. Fuck the patriots
Walker was the clear mvp to me on offense. That defensive front was the real mvp of this game. Also Kenneth Walker is a UFA. He gonna get paid like crazy
A remarkable game by Darnold last night when one considers how aggressively New England went after him, how aggressively their DBs were playing in the secondary. 0 turnovers. Not once did he look nervous or rattled. He's a completely different player now mature, focused and in his prime. Who's to say he still doesn't become the best QB out of that draft? I'm happy for him but greatly saddened. Even when the Jets get it right for them it doesn't work out. Darnold should've been here 15-20 years.
I'm happy for, Sam. I am. This pissed me off as well. I am so mad that we don't have this kid on our team anymore. Even when we get it right, we don't get it right. It's impossible with this fucking owner. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
I don't think Dr. Seuss ever wrote a book with the word fuck in it, but I'm down. I cut out and went to bed, but I just turned on the replay of the game on NFLN at the exact moment Drake Maye got sacked and Wilson ran it in for a TD. At least he was faster than fat Sam Mills.
This one's for champ: It's been 57 years since Woody Johnson brought the VLT to the NYJs. I'm listening to The Boot on the podium right now, spreading the credit. He lost all of his baby fat. He looks like a man now, lol. I would love it if I could somehow on some pretense get a one on one personal meeting with Woody Johnson just so I could say nothing, flip his desk, and walk out.
I know. I was responding to the idea from a member here that Walker had a good game, but not a MVP level performance.
Big Cat had an amazing season too. I remember many of the posters on this board telling me how JD was a “genius” for turning Darnold and Big Cat into a couple of third round busts. Genius! For Seattle anyway.
They both turned out to be the players the Jets thought they were when they drafted them. The thing with Darnold is that I don't think that it ever would have happened here with the Jets. He was a completely broken player when they cast him off.
Ok I edited to read “many” of the posters. Others knew JD’s tear down approach was a waste of time. The ones applauding JD then are applauding Mougie now for doing the same exact thing (and getting the same results).
