I watched the play-offs and conf championships in full. Then highlights of games, and several all 22 reviews as well as every sack. You watched all the games, are you sure he can transition to DE and be a disruptive pass rusher while good/solid in the run game? What am I missing when I say a lot of projection on him?

I’m loving Nick Singleton the RB from Penn state. The kid is electric, big, fast, strong and has breakaway speed. Not sure he will be there with our 4th round pick…. Might need to reach for him but from what I see it will be worth it!

Running the Glenn defense with Glenn calling the plays and Duker coming up with gameplans, I feel like we're leaning Reese. He fits the mold of the high motor, run stopping, edge setting, blitz-from-anywhere type of LB/DE that system calls for and favors. If he can add 7-10 pounds he's the perfect fit.

Just saw Bucky Brooks first mock draft on NFL.com…he has us taking Reese also.

Of course, Bucky Brooks is one of those guys that any time I read one of his articles on NFL.com I pretty much come away totally disagreeing with his takes and thinking he’s a moron. I know he was a scout for a long time, so should be way more knowledgeable than me on this kind of stuff, but I just don’t think highly of his opinions…

Bucky Brooks is someone I usually never pay attention to but I also think the pick is becoming so obvious that anyone will be able to slot Reese to us.

I have zero faith in this administrations ability to make good draft picks.

Why? Mougey hit on some picks last year and made a couple of great trades.

Me too, I think Glenn was probably neutered to the point he won't be the end all be all decision maker on picks. Hopefully if Reich actually comes here he has some say as well as Moug. They made some troubling picks last draft but some good ones as well, hopefully they continue to improve.

If you’re good with what they did last year then why do you want Glenn neutered? He was a part of scouting in Detroit, a part of it here last year.

    Yeah, fair point.
I meant more in terms of taking anybody we pick and making them a good football player and making this a good team.
We may pick the right players. I doubt it will translate to the field.

I’d still much rather trade down. Bain and Reese are not generational talents and both come with legitimate questions. My hope is a team like TEN or WAS considers moving up.

Watched more film on Reese and I have to be honest. I don’t get the hype. I mean the kid is definitely an athletic freak and is a sideline to sideline tackler with good instincts. However, I don’t think he’s a top 5 talent. He reminds a lot of 2 really good players Shaq Thompson and Devon Lloyd when they were coming out. He’s definitely a 1st round talent but in my opinion he’s a luxury pick player. I think it would be irresponsible to take a Will LB at 2nd overall. I mean you can get that in free agency… He is definitely not a DE the kid would get mauled… he got dominated by TE on film, never mind a professional LT/RT… they would eat him for breakfast.

For me it’s either Bain or Bailey. Both are dogs and both are worthy of #2 overall.

Bailey has really impressed me on almost every level. The FBI, his motor, his array of pass rush moves, speed odd the edge, first step, setting up OTs, dropping into coverage and love for the game. He reminds me of TJ Watt. I would love Moug to have the balls to pull the trigger on him and not be afraid of the consensus.

Bain is a big, heavy handed DE that just dominates. Also a high motor dog that has an incredible first step for his size. This guy got more double teams the Jenna Jameson lol. On almost every play the opposing QB knew where 4 was and shifted protection. He can also play up and down the DL if need be in situational football but he’s a pure 4-3 DE.

You really can't teach that junkyard dog mentality, it's inherent. He never takes a play off and his production against the best teams in the land is incomparable. I have him slightly ahead of Bailey just because he can be used in so many different ways, he plays through the whistle, and is built like a wrecking ball and just kinda bounces off people and keeps coming. The way he slaps guys off him with his elite hand usage is fun to watch.

That said, I'd be very happy with either at 2 as they're the two most impactful, consistent defensive players in the country this year.
