No, I got this. The Jets win. I'll be hobbling across the road with my walker on Super Bowl Monday, talking out loud. "YA . . . " See? I didn't even get out the other Y. Runaway taxi. No 24 hours of joy for you. :/
MetLife Stadium opened in 2010, 15 years ago, it is the home of 2 NFL teams, and it’s only hosted 2 playoff games total in it’s entire existence And 1 of those playoff games was a Super Bowl, mandated by the league
I am not saying they'd fold - the NFL prints money and even if the Jets didn't maximize their cash flow, they'd still be ok. The more likely scenario is that they relocate or....hopefully.....dipshit sells when it gets to a certain point. But the reality that they'll have less and less fans as time goes on because the inflow of new ones starts to pale in comparison to deaths and the those abandoning ship is a real one - it will erode the size of the fanbase. Whether or not they stick around and just have half-empty games and rely on the visiting teams' fans is debatable. But unless they get good, OR, find a way to have marquee players who attract fan interest - and hence fans themselves - this is a conversation many of us will be having if this forum survives long enough...haha Sent from my SM-X820 using Tapatalk
I definitely think they'll relocate. Woody is realizing that you can only burn down the house and rebuild so many times with the same fans, so he'll rebuild in another city with new fans that don't know any better. Someplace European with good skiing and shopping.
If Woody truly cares about reversing his awful tenure as owner and leaving a positive, lasting legacy, he must sever the partnership with the Giants and build the Jets their own stadium. The arrangement has been a failed experiment for the Jets from the start, consistently reinforcing our second-tier status in our shared home."
Geeeezzzzz that's just plain ole' SAD! I have to be honest here, thanks to current events, I'm not all that sure America has a future in Europe. Especially for fringe things like football teams. They are beyond pissed right now and some of this shit will never be able to be undone. The Orange Cockbite has really fucked our standing in the world for a good long while, if not forever. Then again, GREED seems to be the order of the day and all anyone cares about so what the fuck do I know...
That concrete shithouse in the swamps cost $3B to build over 15 years ago. Today that'll cost at least $5B to build and that's if you're talking NJ and not NYC which would be more astronomical. There's no way in hell that cheap fuck Johnson would ever dole out even close to that. Basically fucked.
