but you get to "enjoy" Orlando in July and August It is pretty wild up here it's not going to get above the 50s... with lows in the 30s (and a few 20s) for almost 2 weeks!
This snow won't be going anywhere with temps staying frigid for a while ,,,,that said keep an eye next Monday Feb 2nd give or take a day as all models are seeing this and when they all agree days in advance I have told you it gets my attention and in other news I got 17.6 inches yesterday = maybe Brook should have moved by me but I am sure that MADISON was the jackpot LOL
One drawback with the EGO. ICE.. Because it isn't as heavy as an Ariens or other gas powered blowers, it struggles with frozen accumilations. The EGO works well during and right after the snowfall. If there's an ice cap over it? It will have problems.
I went to a few sites and so far you don't exist as I don't see a snow total for Madison -----maybe they don't have a spotter in your town but I looked Florian park and other close towns and I don't see anything = your in Morris County right ? I am going to keep looking but even NJ. GOV DID not have a listing,,,,,,,give me a few minutes I will keep looking Brook----and BTW no lie many models are focused on a possible MILLER A storm ( these rarely work out for us ) but as I said many models have it 5 days away the 31st or Feb 1st as I know you are traveling brother so keep an eye on this = I will,
Thanks brother. My flight to Carolina this morning got cancelled and I was very happy as that meant I could stay home for a week.
so far this is as close as I can get,,,,,,btw what did the guy charge you for = how many inches ? Morris County Randolph — 14 inche Lake Hopatcong — 12.9 inches Butler — 12.7 inches Mount Arlington — 12 inches Boonton Township — 11.8 inches Brookside — 11.8 inches
Here is what the guy texted me before the snow and I agreed to pay. I know I am being ripped off but this was the guys I found last minute Rates to plow driveway start as listed below... From 1-4" $100 From 4-8" $150 From 8-12" $200 From 12-16" $250 If we are going to get the inches they are announcing, we will do in two stages.
Im guessing but I would think that no matter how you slice it you were probably in that 8-12 $200 range ------did he bang you for another $50 because you might have gotten over a foot ? It's possible that you did get over a foot I am still looking for a snow total for Madison,,,,,,u can try calling your town and see if highway or one of the departments can tell you how much snow you received ,,,,,,I will keep looking
Thanks my friend. You can stop looking. He just sent me the invoice for $200. All good here Sunday storm. Shall I change my flight back to Saturday night to avoid Sunday drama?
Boss. Saturday night flights are still available. I don't really want to go 1 day early as I will stay there 2 weeks already. But if you say chance is higher than 50% I will change my flight.
Well Brook and friends it looks as IF IF IF this were to happen it would be Sat into Sunday but the storm and its path is not written in stone yet ------this would be a Miller A ( Jaywaynes favorite type of storm ) and it is a totally different setup than last week as it would either come up the coast or head out to to sea but IF IF IF it were to hit as depicted right now on the models it might make last weekends storm look like a dusting that said there is a long way to go 5 days yet and it could turn right and head out to sea,,,,we have not been hit by one of these for a very long time and as with all storms but especially Miller A 's many things would have to go right for it to impact us,,,,that said when many models see a possible storm I pay attention as this needs to be watched
smart guy Speaking of weather.... St. Augustine Beach on sunday... HIGH of 42, low of 24. bye-bye snook
This storm has a long way to go and much of the overnight and todays early guidance has shown that the storm might be heading out to sea but IMO it is way too early and to close to call right now as a lot could change with each model run. Brook to answer you,,,,,,,I would wait until Thursday as by then we should all have a better idea of what might happen. This storm would need a few things to go right for it to hit us and so much of it depends on timing, that said there is a reason why we have not been hit with a MILLER " A" snowstorm in a long time as I said it needs a lot to go right in order for that to happen ,,,,,,,,,Jay was correct Miller A 's make great storms when they do hit. Speaking of Jay, he is now living the life down in the Carolinas and I know he has his reasons for no longer posting ( as everyone who has left the site does ) but one of the main reasons he no longer posts in the weather thread is that when you move to a warm weather location and you love and enjoy the snow and tracking these storms as much as he did ( he has told me this and I can totally relate ) the last thing you want to do is track a snow storm when you won't be able to enjoy or take part in it, I mean when I am down in Florida as I often am --the last thing I want to do is track a snowstorm. As far as why JAY no longer posts in the other threads = If he makes a cameo then I suggest that you might want to ask him that question directly but my guess would be that he no longer posts for the same reasons that myself and others no longer post and contrary to some misguided beliefs it is not because of any of our AVATARS but instead the reality is ( and the Admin wont like hearing this but sometimes the truth hurts ) is that despite the efforts of Brook and some other mods who deserve mad props for keeping this thing afloat for as long as they have but TGG is just a shell of what it once was as IMO so many great posters are now gone and add to that is the fact that the owner and organization is one of the most poorly run in all of sports. BTW I would be remiss if I did not mention that not only is Jay missed tremendously but so is my wingman FJF ,,,,,,,,,,,IF I had to be in a foxhole with anyone it would be either of those guys. Now back to weather and this possible storm
