How about Parcells or Joe Gibbs or Holmgren? The insanity on here never ends. Good decisions are never made when coming from a state of desperation which are most of these horrid options. Glenn is here next year so move on already and start planning for 2026.

Bridgewater signed with the Bucs in early August last year. He may not want to come back for another season, but maybe dangling a starting job in front of him might get him to decide to come back for another year.

Out of the ones that are still out there, now that McCarthy is gone, I would interview Brady, Kingsbury, Kubiak, Monken. I would probably also talk to Daboll and maybe McDermott. We could also look at College ranks. Like Cignetti from Indiana, would he be interested? What about that young guy Jags OC or Chicago OC? Maybe even Josh McCown. Again, these are off the top of my head. But there are folks we can talk to and see if someone has a good plan. I think this is better than firing or demoting all key coaches except Glenn himself, and than having Glenn fill these vacancies AGAIN after he failed the first time and now on the hot seat with likely exit in a year.

Glenn, Wink, and Reich, that's the plan? The Old Guard in the modern NFL. Woody took finding the next Parcells a little too literally.

To be fair, to look this inept can't just happen by accident. It requires a skillful level of coordination.

I don't feel good about this. Glenn made these bad hiring decisions and Glenn will hire the new coaches. If Mougey is the one making the hires, then it could be good. It seems like this will be a repeat of last season.

It's difficult to attract good candidates to the Jets because there are many openings and the Jets situation is one of the worst. Any new coach risks being a one and done coach.

Sure, but it can be done, it's still 1 of 32 with a lot of money at stake and a lot of picks available. We cannot just say, well we are not attractive, so let's stop trying to get a good HC IMO.

Would you rather stick with Glenn and hire basically all new staff like Woody is doing or prefer to try to get one of the guys I mentioned or some others even as a HC and have the new HC hiring for these positions? Btw, all these positions we are going to have to fill, including OC and DC will not be cheap.

I'd feel infinitely more confident if it were Kubiak or McDermott hiring an entirely new staff rather than a coach who has already failed once at hiring a staff attempting to hire all of those positions again for a second time in a single calendar year. What they should have done was hand Mike McCarthy a blank check and beg him to become the HC.

Maybe this is for the best, though. Embrace the tank and get that #1 pick for 2027.

Wink's actually a pretty good get considering the current state of this franchise. Given that he prefers an attacking, blitz-heavy D, it would make a lot sense to draft Bain at 2. Hell, I'd probably take CJ Allen at 16 who is a bonafide 3 down linebacker, elite run defender, plays explosive, sideline to sideline. They would both fit in nicely to his D and a huge upgrade.

I just can't get over the fact that we're firing all these guys but not firing the guy who chose them less than a year ago. Woody is incapable of identifying the root causes of problems.

There's just an extreme disagreement about what coaches would actually come here. It's blind to think the jets would not be one of, if the, last choices a HC would choose.

It's interesting to see the Browns search. They arguably have a better situation and nobody is even looking in their direction. Why would the jets be any different?

I wonder if all of the extra stuff the Browns are asking for in the interview is causing some of their problems with candidates being interested in it.

McDermott is taking the year off and re-entering the cycle next season according to reports. A significantly better option than any third tier guy available to us now if we fired Glenn. McDermott, Tomlin, plus any hot shot coordinator that emerges.

Glenn clearly isn't going anywhere, this will be the strangest season ever coming up. I have no idea who's running the show or wtf is going on but if nothing else it'll be fun to watch the show. I agree waiting till next year looks good, McD and Tomlin and possibly O'Connell from Minny if they struggle, would love him here. Draft a QB in 27, new coach, new hope.

I have been embracing the tank for a very long time now, and I am pretty sure after a few games of 2026 will have to do it again. But you do know, if we get a #1 pick, it will be in the 0 QB draft?
